I'll gues that i just have to be patient, So it's nothing to do with me living in DK..

My ps3 should be working properly regarding to the Network settings..

I did notits that we are able to choose the upnp mode in GT5p "Options" between mode1 and mode2, does this have anything to do with me Not being " Updated" ?

I doubt it has anything to do with you location.
As for the upnp I think I have mine set to mode2.

I also updated through my JPN account

As someone else said in the thread.

If you're having problems updating. Just let it run as far as it does before you get the error. Then just start again by clicking on the "News" section. Keep doing it and eventually it will work. Because it doesn't actually start again, even though the bar starts from the beginning, it saves what's been previously downloaded. So just keep going at it.

Also, try not to let anything else use your internet connection whilst it's updating.

That's how I got mines working.

I have the same exact problem with my Blu-ray version of GT5P.

I tried several ways of updating (intro, news, online, etc) but with the same results. The thing freezes at the "preparing for download" phase.

Yo dude....Looks like we're having the same problem...(its Vanquish from Tbreak)..since we're both having the same ISP providers

am guessing its our stupid ISP which is blocking the download....

the same thing happens with my JPN copy as well...

maybe the only solution is to run the PS3 through a different proxy or somesort..
