Hi, whats up, I remember see a lot of people complaining about random cas, but I think that is not true, well, what u have to do in the car price show scene, u have to press x when the logo GT appears under the car u want. I did that, and I have already two race cars, the Corvette Racing car, and the Gillete :D . Dunno if it works under endurance races. :(
 
it worked for me in the VERY beggining of the game but as i worked my way through it seemed like the random chooser would speed up. After the mid-half of amature it never worked again.
 
With some practice and tips from GTF I was able to x select the car I wanted,
but I didn't use it all the time.
It definitely works but how thoroughly I don't.
Anyone else had good results with it?
 
Not a chance!!!

It only works 25% of the time... and that's of course because its 4 cars in the selection ..D'OH!!!! :D

You'd have just the same chance by standing on yer head screaming "I'm a chicken" while the selection goes by!
 
actually i always get the cars i want when i do that. When the circle is circling around the cars fast and it is hovering under the one you want you hold it for like 3 seconds then when it goes around the second time but slower you just tap the button and it always seems to work.
 
I don't think it works , its just plain luck. i did the Dream car Champ in Amature mode to get all of the LM's but I could't get the RX-7 LM but I got doubles of the other cars.
 
If you're having trouble with it always giving you the same car (which you don't want), vary your run times by a bit. The random number is seeded from your elapsed time, and I've found that I have to change that number quite a bit to get it to pick a different car, like running for one second before exiting, then running the first quadrant next try..
 
It's been proven time and time again that the "X-button" trick does not work... coincidences do happen. ;)

I will also attest that neon_duke is right in that you should vary your time spent in the last race (the one that you exit) if you want a different car...
 
yeah,the best thing I could think about doing,is collect 90 points in the championship,then save it and don't race the last one,and just keep tryin' till you get the car you want =D

X-button trick does not work, although if i'm annoyed, i will resort to it in desperation...:lol:
 
:lol: Yeh. It would have to be 100% the car you want, or you could just say you were going for the car you want.

:lol: It's so much better when the 4 rotating cars happen to be all the same car, maybe just different colors. I believe it was like that when I won the RSX Type - S. No hard feeling's when it chooses Grey over Red or any other various colors. :D
 
X button????? :confused: :confused:
I just yell and point at the TV for the car i want :D :D
It doesn't work all the time, but its fun 👍 👍

I use my puppy. Everytime I give here the controller and let her nibble it, I get the car I want. It's worked about 99% of the time. I've used this technique atleast 50 times.
