I have just played some arcade races. The wheel calibrates itselfs and everything seems to work normally, but when I break heavily, the whole wheel/engine starts shaking and makinging loud noises, just like two cogwheels not fitting.

I haven't had this issue in GT5P or in the TT demo. Do you think my wheel is broken?
 
are you using ABS? I dont have the game yet but maybe it's simulating the way ABS pulsates when it engages. Just a guess.
