My G25, that is.

I've had it for a couple of years now, for most of which it was faultless until recently it developed that 5% brake or throttle when they're not meant to be applied problem. So yesterday I opened up the pedal box and gave it a clean, screwed it back together and fired up GT5 to try it out. Treated myself to a new Mazda 787B and brought it to Suzuka, the wheel was working perfectly and the problem had gone. Then I went to change the track and on the track select menu it just stopped, none of the wheel's buttons were working and the power light was out. I tried taking the wheel's USB lead out of the PS3 and putting it back in again and still nothing, no power light or calibration. Restarting the PS3 didn't do anything either. Tried it in the PS2 and still nothing. Made sure the leads were attached in the back of the wheel correctly, no use. I even tried swapping the plug fuse but it still didn't work. Any ideas?

Sounds like it's time to invest in something new, sounds like you have done all you can do to try and revive it :sly:

Others may have other ideas for you to try though, if not then may it rest in peace :(

You said the power led is out, that means no power source. So i suggest you to check your power adapter, check the output voltage of it. Use a multitester or dc voltmeter.

I don't have a multimeter, but I'll get one and test the adaptor to see if that's the problem, thanks for the advice!

Open up that pedal set again and check that you have not cut through any wires accidentally. Its easy to get them caught up with a pedal while putting them back together.

Does the wheel calibrate with the pedals disconnected?

It does! :)

I'll open up the pedals again tomorrow and see what I can find.

Call off the funeral! It wasn't dead after all, just in a coma. One of the wires in the pedal box got trapped under one of the big metal bits in there (but thankfully it wasn't cut through), which was enough to stop the whole wheel from working it seems. Anyway, it's fine now. :D

Thanks for the advice Pantalon!
