I'm stuck at work. So whats the car and track combinations? Just so i know what to prepare myself for when i get outta here today.

oops nevermind its listed on the GT official site.

GT Academy 2011 Round 2
Rd.2-1: SKYLINE GT-R V・spec II Nür (R34) / Road Course - Indy Rd.2-2: XANAVI NISMO Z (SUPER GT) / Toscana 101A Event period: 2011/1/31 - 2011/2/6

What is Toscana? Wasn't that one of those stage to stage rally tracks?

Not that I had much hope before, but now i'm officially screwed. Never got the hang of rally in gt5. Oh well, still going to give it a go...

It's tarmac with a gt500 car, not dirt rally. Think of driving a beast on an every day road :D

This version of Toscana is a new track, wonder if it will be added to the game in the next update. I can't believe they chose run on Indy again with all the tracks they have to choose from lol.

Isn't Toscana (tarmac) the one that you drive using the Lamborghini Murcielago at night? I think it's one leg of one of the special events.

Interesting. I have literally ran Indy only two times, and I don't think I have EVER ran Toscana (seriously.) However, I have been practicing with an R35 GTR this week, and have a ton of experience with the Super GT cars. So, this will be a big lesson in learning the tracks. Should be a great challenge-

I think you're right... Just did my first hour and as of 7:15 am I have the lead in the west!!!! (wont last long) going to work!

edit---lead on toscana

Good luck GTP members, lets get more people from our community on the top this round. Will be starting my runs right after work :(

Ok, I'm like 9th right now, time to close the competition! :D
Just leave it there, noone else race!

What are some typical lap times?

I would guess Indy is under/around the 2 minute mark given the car/tire combo. If the Toscana track is the same as that Lambo night challenge, it's a bit longer - I think I remember the winning lap time just over 3 minutes, so with a GT500 car probably in a mid 2 minute range...

While I'm stuck at work, just trying to strategerize and figure out which track to focus on tonight.

Only 5 people with times in the West so far. Everyone's at work. :dopey:

Doesn't surprise me. You could do it last year during the TT competition, so I expected it.

I betcha they're waiting till 9 am their time too.
Oh ok, phew, hopefully I can make up for the fact that I've only run indy road 4 times :/

seems how we only have 500 or so people, can we have a gentelmens agreement to NOT cut the last corner?:sly:
