Whats up everyone. So Ive been in China for the last 3 months and missed out on the whole hackers breaking into the ps network thing. When I try to sign into the ps network I get an error message that says my password is invalid and I have to make a new one. It also says to check my email. Sure enough there is an email in my box saying its from sony and to click a link, when I click the link it tells me that the site in down for maintinence. Can someone tell me if this is normal or is it a hacker thing? Keep in mind that I have not signed into the ps network in 3 months

It's normal. Started my Ps3 yesterday too for the first time in months. With my main account i could change the password on the ps3. My Uk and japanese account had the email, with the website beeing down.
The website is down because of a hole (exploit in it).

Incorrect. That was fixed ages ago. I for one know its the PSN starting to go down for maintenance as planned for today. Hope this helps! :) 👍
