Yeah, my left leg got bit sometime last weekend, probably at the Grand prix yet I didn't notice it untill Tuesday when it started to itch like hell! I went to my Doctor the following day who prescribed me some tablets (Fluxocillin, or something like that) and I also purchased some Anti-Histomine (Again, or something like that) cream for the itchiness.

I've had to book today off work because basically, I'm hobbiling around like a 90 year old due to the lower leg swelling up really badly, its also gone to my foot which is not a nice feeling when I walk. Here is some pics of both legs so you can compare. :)

(Caution, they are pretty large pics)

So has anyone else suffered the same case as me in the past? And if so, how did you treat it? It's kinda concerning that the swelling is spreading to other areas aswell.. Hopefully everything will be cleared up down at the docs but I'm betting they will just say "Stick to the medicene"
:grumpy:.

Bee
Awesome! Can I claim disability benefits on it? :sly:

I guess so. They'll probably supply you with a free sack to put over your head, if it spreads that far.

Any bite or sting which causes oedema (a collection of fluid) needs looking at.
You need to go back to your GP and explain that the original problem has got worse and show him/her the swelling.
It's possible it's either infected or you've had a nasty allergic reaction. Both possibilities need investigating...if it's an infection then the Fluclox he's given you clearly isn't working. If it's an allergic reaction then this sort of response is quite severe and you're at risk of anaphylactic shock in the future which requires treatment with adrenaline.
Seriously, don't assume anything. Take yourself back to your GP ASAP.

And get well soon.

....ZOMBEES!!!

Call yourself a qualified nurse? - it's obviously elephantiasis.

...The ladies love Bitten...

I don't believe they are your legs. I want a notice saying "I'm Bee from GTP and these are my legs" in the shot too.

Bee
Erm... I don't get it.. :indiff:

Have a look at the picture titles. Then have a look at the pictures. Then have a look at the labels Queen Bee sews in your shoes and gloves.

Edit: Either that, or you've photographed the outsides of your legs... You've got me confused now. Include your toes, dammit!

I thought that too... But it looks like the outside of his ankles, so he hasn't lost his awareness...

YES!!! This is the best single event I've had on GTP.

It is indeed the outside of my legs, on the top of the left leg pic is my big toe.

See what happens when you start staring at men's legs!

Shame on you:yuck:

Back on topic:

I had a similar swelling once with a bee sting. And it itched like hell.

I did nothing about it and it went away after a couple of days. :P

Did you feel the bite?

I got bitten by a spider when I was stumbling around, intoxicated. It got no where near as bad as what you've got. I just had some very slight swelling and it went a bit red. You should check if you've got any supernatural spider powers.

No, my leg just became really itchy and thats when I noticed the mark and a fair amount of swelling.

Oh I went to my docs yesterday, they reckon the sweeling around the foot is infact just fluid from the blood vessels in my leg and that it should dissapear over the weekend.
:)

Does this mean that you will only have one leg to stand on:nervous:

You forgot to mention the part where your leg fell off, which was really surprising since if I recall it wasn't your leg that was bitten. I'd also like to ask that you stop spinning webs all over the house, you know the cat really hates getting tangled up in them.
