There arent too many positive posts here from what i can see of. So i am going to make one. This has to be the most complete and welcoming forum/community of GT enthusiasts i have ever seen. I joined not because of the guides or the forum, but because this seemed to be a place where i could come and have some fun, learn some stuff about the GT series, and make some friends. I am happy that i found this site and please, dont change it. :)

Keep up the good work Mods/Admin. I hope to become a good member of this forum. please let me know if you need anything

Very true.

The card I got for mother's day this year had inside: "Mum, I hope you know, even though I don't say it often, I love you very much". A similar sentiment in this thread. It may not get said very much but this forum and its members should be very highly valued.

one note too. not onyl are the members and admin/mods great and friendly people but, the forum is so well put together.i have been to forums where i could find NOTHING.

everything here has a place, there are too many sub-forums to count and people talk. thats what i think makes a great forum and you guys, i mean we have it here at gtplanet.net

I don't like GT4, and I never play it...I've only recently reacquired my copy of GT3, and don't plan on playing it very much...when GT5 comes out, I'm not sure if I'm even going to buy it.

Why do I stick around GTPlanet? The community, of course. :) I may not enjoy Gran Turismo any more, but the automotive section of the forums is the most mature and unbiased automotive discussion area I've found on the entirety of the internet. 👍

GTPlanet is also, unknowingly, the host to the largest, most active Enthusia community/forum on the internet.



With that said, I would like to commend Jordan and the GTP staff for a job (very) well done. :) 👍
 
Same here. GT4 got me here, but great members/community is what's making me want to stay. Nice to meet you, BMWteamPTG. Welcome to gtplanet. :)
 
I couldn't agree more. This place is like a big happy family, and I'm happy to be a part of it.

I have been a member of many game forums in the past and GTPlanet is the only one I have ever stayed with due to the community.

At first it was all about the GT4 forum, but now I only ever have a glance at it. I spend my time in other areas of the forum.

I still play GT4 a lot - the WRS and other stuff keeps me busy.

This is the best Message Board I've encountered on the net, and I guess we can put that down to its Almighty Creator and the staff he has entrusted to manage it. :bowdown: :)
 
It's really nice to see this thread and see how GTPlanet has positively influenced and is continuing to influence our lives in a very good way! At first i joined because of GT3 and the wealth of information that was here but after a while GTPlanet stuck to me and i was drawn in by the friendliness and diversified nature of the forums!

On first arrival to the forums my name was BMW X5 SPORTS which has now changed as you may have noticed, furthermore i wanted to apologise for any actions i may have taken on my part when i first joined that were deemed inappropriate (I was new and adjusting) many a time others helped me out in the right direction without them knowing such as Famine and others, some who have sadly left GTPlanet. I wanted to thank them and the other active users here for making GTPlanet what it is and that being a part of this brilliant community is one thing that i'll never regret. :D
 
Well, we're glad to know we're appreciated, and it's good to know that we're not alone in our quest to keep an intelligent, worthwhile community going smoothly.

So many forums on the 'net go to crap because of the prevailing attitude of "It's just a message board; whaddaya so uptight about?" The quality of the community interaction does matter, and it helps us to have members that appreciate it and work toward the same goal.

Thanks and welcome to PTG, and thanks to everybody here who realizes that the entire 'net doesn't have to be titty pictures and fart jokes.
 
@BMWteamPTG Thanks for your kind words and I have to say they are ones that I agree with.

GT Planet is more (to me) than just another forum on the web, its a great community and one I have always been proud to be a member of.

i didnt search for a thread like this for one reason. it always perks up a forum/message board and its members (including admin/mods) to hear good words about the hard work they put into a site.

also, i am sure it means something different coming from a n00b (but not anymore :) ). not that everyones kind words dont matter, its just that i was new to the forum and recongnized a good thing.

glad i made a thread like this :)

well the more time i spend here, the more comments i want to put into this thread.

you all deserve the good comments. they help moral and make you realize all the hard work you put into this is worth it :)

I agree on both points. I also think this is one of the few kinds of threads that can be duplicate and nobody will care. :sly:
 
This place is like a second home to me, that may sound a bit lets say, sad but it just feels like one big happy family here, we can share a joke, play games, compare abilites and generally help out eachother.

It's a place that Jordan, Der Alta and Duke should be very proud of, they have made a hell of alot of people's lives alot more intresting and I thank them.

Big thanks also goes to the rest of the moderating staff, they've kept me in check and helped me with my bad grammer and spelling (When I first got here I was using text talk). They are also a great laugh and are desvered of their status.

Then there's the normal members like me, I've met a lot of class people on here, some I'm planning on meeting up with one day even. Everyone brings a smile to my face and so I thank all of you aswell.

And then there's Famine... :scared::p

A good way I was ensuring this is being premium not for the premium features but as a small donation for Jordan's great site. At the moment I'm kinda not following what I'm preaching because I'm broke... (yes, that broke :guilty: ) and I don't visit here as much as I used too.

This place is still the benchmark for all other forums IMO as well. 👍

Thanks for the kind words. Might also add it is the community as a whole that needs applauded, yourself included! Without the efforts of it's members as well, there wouldn't be a community. It's the members that keeps this site breathing, fresh, and fun.
