Eyeglasses built on a bridge piercing. Yes, someone pierced the bridge of their nose, and built miniature brakets to screw eyeglasses onto.

I can now say that I will never underestimate the bounds of human ingenuity.

All or a sudden Morpheus' glasses in the Matrix weren't cool enough.

WOW! Those actually look pretty neat! Just need like a black thin metal frame type thing around the edges to make it look sharp. Get all the metal colored to black and that would be badass! I got black glasses they are pretty PIMP! :lol:

Just the thought of getting a piercing there hurts… :crazy:

Still, kudos to them for trying it. Who knows, 100 years from now, this might be as commonplace as regular glasses are now.
 
Piercings freak me out. Those glasses are just weird. How does this guy sleep with that metal on his nose?

Damn, it hurts just thinking around getting a piercing there :scared:. They look somewhat neat but they could be better.

I can just see them getting caught on something and tearing a chunk of skin off his face....

You, sir, took the words right out of my mouth. They're cool glasses, just the piercing freaks me out a little.
 
I think think they're just as practical asa regular pair of glasses, but the main thing i think is the time it takes to put them on...5-10 minutes? They could create some sort of quick release or something i think, so that one day you can have sun glasses too! You'd just carry the lenses around in a little thingy and whenever it gets bright out- whip out the lenses! Overall I think it's very innovative, and certainly a lot more practical than all the other piercings, if not a little dangerous. I suppose tho that as you grow older, things just seem less likely to be flying at your face. that is if you don't work at a construction site or something, but even then things shouldn't be flying through the air then. Cool idea.

To me, getting a piercing once is a lot more practical then sticking tiny little disks in each eye every day. It seems pretty cool to me, I'd do it. That is, assuming the public market version of the glasses has some kind of quickrelease and limited structural integrity (so they snap before your nose does).
 
What happens if you only need glasses for reading? Much life a few of my friends - they have to wear glasses when reading/doing schoolwork, but otherwise they're fine.

It'd get annoying having to screw those on and off just to read something then take them off again.
 
My thoughts are that I'd have the piercing done, and the mounts are a flt piece of metal, with a skin colored tone to them. The eyeglasses are magnet attached to the piercing, or have a "click-in" locking mechanism.

All things considered, at least this piercing has a purpose other than being cosmetic.

Can anyone deny that he had his thinking cap on when he came up with it?

I still think its a sweet idea, just so many possibilities. Or those little TV's that they're making for wrist watches...well they could make on with an attachment so u can just screw it on to your nose or something. Certainly a lot of potential behind it anyway.
 
It's just a fashion thing. It doen't replace my need for contacts when doing football/karate/rugby.

At what point should we consider that an earing could be a mounting braket for a handsfree ear piece?

OR is that earing already a ear piece?

Ooooh it's already an earpiece all right. Altough the ears are flimsy and hair and cause problems, hats, headphones etc. i think the nose bracket is more viable, sturdy-er too, that and ears continue to grow as you age so what was once a comfy mounting bracket would be some saggy hole that's a half inch lower than what youintended to have :yuck: :lol:
