This man was my first F1 idol, watched as a kid him getting his second WDC and my father - himself an "old" Fangio and Clark fan - is probably responsible for it because he told me Stewart was the best active F1 driver by that time. And my father was never mistaken, so ... that made me a JS fan for life :D

Anyways GREAT interview, nothing particularly new but I found the part about safety and how he lost friends on a monthly basis, and stood up against it, very moving.

You've never heard of Sir Jackie Stewart? He won twenty-seven races (including three at Monaco) and three World Championships in 1969, 1971 and 1973. He owned Stewart Grand Prix with his son Paul from 1996 to 1999, where they ran Rubens Barrichello, Jan Magnuessen and Johnny Herbert. The guy's a living legend.

To be fair, he hasn't done anything of public note lately, its not surprising for some people to never have heard of him, if they don't really follow motorsport much anyway.
