Im not sure if i expect alot of people to join, but hey, jaguars have class and you cant that away from it. feel free to post all jaguar discussion here (if you want to, if it's to big a subject then don't)

Yep, I'm in. :D

My Dad owns a Jagaur X-Type 3.0 Auto, and it is pretty nice. The Fordness does show though I'm afraid, the flimsy build quality leading to quite a few rattles (although some have dissapeared now! :)). Engine is smooth, it is comfortable and has some poke. And people call it a Mondeo, it is quite different to one!
 
my dad has a 2.0s x type, i doesn't look as nice as the 3.0, but its really comfortable on the motorway. he's gettin rid of it next week, and ive got to search auto trader for a comfortable cruiser, with 10,000 miles on, 1 year old, max probably £19,000, im thinkin of an xtype 2.7 twin turbo diesel, what dya think?

Yeah, I think that will be good. I must admit, we did test drive the X-Type and S-Type (all petrol) before we got the Jag and we didn't think it was worth the extra money for the S. Of course, the ride was smoother, it was a little quiter and roomer but it just didn't seem worth all the extra money. The Diesel S-Type is supposed to be a good car also, so I think it's worth getting. :)
 
yeah, i did mean the stype, pressed the wrong key! im gonna scout out autotrader, see what they got goin, if you know anyone one this site who likes jags, we need a few more members so we can keep this thread alive
 
erm, the x-type, except it doesn't have mondeo interior, ford badge , alloys, body shape, cheap-feel, its a good jag, honestly, it glides along the highway/motorway, unlike a mondeo, yhe xtype only has minor mondeo parts in it. its still a great car
 
The mechanical side of the car is pretty similar to a Mondeo, but the engines are tweaked, the suspension is tweaked for a better ride and bigger engined models have 4WD. I'm sure there are other mechanical differences. Then there's pretty much a complete exterior and interior difference to the Mondeo (apart from the switches and buttons ect).
 
Jaguars are cool, they're classey and the sporty versions are fast, they also built the E-Type, a car that deserves it's current status.
 
So they´re gonna destroy the E-type in same way Shelby recently destroyed the Cobra?? I really loath such things! If things are not broken, why fix them??

As for Jag, no one can ignore the original E-type, or the fact that the worlds fastest production car once was a Jag; The XJ220!

Put me up! I more of an Aston guy myself, but as I do think the Jaguar E-type convertible is the most beautiful car ever made, I might fit in a bit...:)
 
XJ220 is one of my favorite supercars, there is a British racing green XJ220 in my city.

but no I dont want to join.
 
ok, ive put you two up, have you seen those concepts they've made? it was an r-type, or somthing like that, and dont forget the f-type, i didn't ever like that car.
 
Yeah the Jag R-Type was one of the most visually stunning cars I've seen in a long time, the F-Type was nice too I thought. But the R-Type showed class in it's design moreso than the F-Type.

My dad owns a Jaguar Daimler Century, 100th anniversary car of jaguar built together with Daimler. Gotta love that white leather man.

Made 200 times worldwide. A real rarity

In General Jaguars designs are outstanding. Black paint, black rhims looks amazing on jaguar.

Never liked Mercedes edgy designs.

With regards to that mockup, why on earth did they put that wing on the back. I don't think the new XK-R will have a rear wing and no spy shots have hinted at such.

I love the new Xk, the old Xk, the Xj, the S type R, and the X type estate. The saloon is cool too.
