Jaguar XK

Hey, i rarely see the Jaguar Xk online, what do you personaly think about the car?

I love it, it is too slow though (compared to the other cars in its class that you can drive in Prologue). I like how the back of the car swings smoothly to the outside of the corner.

Its a great car!

Won with it many a time back in the days of Daytona Speedway PP600/650 (when the PP values were lower) against all sorts from F40s to Ford GTs.

Not the fastest, but definitely one of the most fun to drive and a great place for starting to learn drifting, as it is a little tail happy but in a controllable way. I'd always recommend it to people starting to learn the more powerful FR-MR cars as it has all the charateristics without too much of the punishment for over-driving.

It also makes great competition for the 512BB, I've had many duels with the Ferrari in the Jag.
The only shame is that they only come in automatics, so no gear shifting animation

I hope one of the tuners gets around to tuning it again one day (hint hint ) We really need an event organised which uses it or at least gives it some fair competition rather than F430s and the like which blow it away most of the time.

I like XK way better then the Mustang, No one uses it really because its 300 HP and bit heavy.. Its not the XKR-R

Yeah, it has the power and top speed to compete on high speed and non-technical tracks but it lacks the handling ability to compete properly on Suzuka and Fuji.
Its still very fun to use around those tracks though and its an impressive feat to get on the podium with it - it was nice to challenge myself in that respect.

I love the XK, but I can't seem to compete very well with it. I always end up racing against the 'top' car x 9 of the events I take it too.

It's a great car to drive though.

I like the XK, but it's more like a Lion than a Jaguar. I want it to be quick at Suzuka, but it needs slicks to hold its weight. It's a pretty car. I hope it returns to GT5 in LeMans trim.

If you want something that does 0-60 in 6.5 years and understeers so bad that it makes the 599 drive like the ford gt lm spec II, then it's your car.

It's a nice car, but it just doesn't have the speed to really be a good racer. That's my take.

I wouldn't remember, last time i drove it was during spec II times

I love the noise most of all. From out side the car, you got that burble and then somewhere at midrange you have this shriek all the way to the red line.
Performance wise, I'm not fussed with it.
