Hey, we just picked up Jak II last night. So far I've watched my wife play it for about an hour and it looks every bit as good as the original and better. There are a ton of things to do, and lots of vehicles to fly in a huge new city. There's lots of traffic and security patrols, and collisions damage your vehicle and attract attention. It opens with pretty difficult tasks, about at the level of the middle parts of J&D.
Again, the graphics are smooth and excellent, with the great day/night fades and zero load times. There are lots of new twists like having to run a difficult series of traps while viewing youself through the gunsights of the tank/bot that is chasing you.
Naughty Dog seems to have done a great job following up the original.
