Jalopnik FM3 Car Pack

Compared to what is coming from Jalopnik in the way of the user voted pack, this pack is lackluster. I'm not much on exotics or race cars so any downloadable content that offers a majority of those things I'm not going to find exciting. Call it complaining, call it whatever. It just seems like this could have been better.

I'm not referring to personal preferences; I can't call that complaining - that would be ridiculous. I love exotics and race cars (the former more than the latter) so this pack is a big plus for me.

I've seen plenty of people complaining about the VIP Pack, the upcoming DLC, etc...it's like, where does it end?

I find the complaints a bit silly when people have been given both packs of old & new cars, yet they still forget & cry.

If you want old, buy the Jalopnik user pack. If you want new, buy the Jalopnik-picked pack. But don't cry about wanting older/newer cars when you already know their coming....

It's a forum, get over it. People aren't complaining, they are giving their opinion about the car packs. I find this one to be lackluster, the user picked one seems cool and if I'm still even remotely into Forza when it's released I'll probably buy it.

I could say the same to you. It's a set-in-stone pack, make your comment & move on. But don't be one of these gripers whining that we don't get any old/new cars after they know we have/are getting them.

You can say the same about me how? :odd:

DR said the same thing I said, it's a forum where people give their opinion about something. My opinion is that this pack is pretty awful compared to the one that is coming. I don't care that they are new cars, there are plenty of exciting new cars out that could have been added. The Bugatti is pretty cool and the V12 Vantage is sort of there. But the rest of it is meh. I will be curious to get GT remakes of the Ford GT racecar however.

All you are doing is complaining about people complaining which doesn't add anything to a discussion.

Boy, what did I start?

Look, fellas, all I was saying is the redundant complaining is getting on my nerves. Not preferring something over something else.

My excitement for these packs is killing me. Wish I got a chance to be on the lost for a free Furai. Looks like I need to start saving.👍

New cars pack - Rapide, V12 Vantage, BMW Z4, Jaguar XKR ALMS...!
Old cars pack - De Tomaso Pantera, AMC Javelin AMX...!

I'm in hooner-heaven. Now, praying for the Lexus LFA, Chrysler Crossfire, Porsche 918 Spyder, Koenigsegg Agera, '68 Mercury Cougar, Infiniti Essence Concept, and Cadillac CTS Coupe.

Whew, big list making done.

Pack is live may need to change your location to de-DE instead of gb-UK in the URL to access, works though I'm ain Australia and am now downloading.

The Bugatti apparently has the wrong drive train...

Im not a car engineer, but apparently is the SS version from USA wich comes RWD.

Sorry my english.

i wish there was a way to give the furai more power without taking it from mid ground r2 to bottom level r1.

my poor furai! they beat the **** out of it at the R2/Le Sarthe enduro. but, 2 laps in and hired driver, bob, has pulled a lead after somehow getting past the cock block tactics of the other ai. the Maserati pushed him off the track at least once :| i probably need to take all of the downforce out if i plan on letting bob do this race again. it's running half of default atm. default gearing limits it to 168mph.

I downloaded the pack, and the car I used is the BMW Z4 sDrive35is. Using my tuned settings, it reached 222 mph at Benchmark High Speed Ring. The car is already in level 5 after two races and it is because I raced in a 31 lap race at Sebring without a hired driver. It took me a hour and twelve minutes to complete the race with only one pit stop. I agree with the others, the pack is a lackluster. The Z4 sDrive35is is the only reason why I downloaded the pack for.

I was hitting the rev limiter with all stock settings at 175mph on Nurb. That car is so well composed. Tons of grip, it isn't against hitting the occasional rumble strip, and its not so powerful that its hard to drive and no longer fun. I think I did a 7'27 from a standing start.

And how about those brake lights!

I personally find the pack rather entertaining. While the cars are not exceedingly amazing, there is a solid mix of cars that are incredibly appealing to me. All are very well-balanced, easy to drive, and ultimately serve as excellent basis for further tunage.

What impressed me most?

I was able to take the bone-stock Z4 out to one of the sidewinder courses, sight unseen, and pull off a top-400 lap time. For serious? Yowzers.

Yeah after driving this pack doesn't do much for me, but then again I don't liek old cars much so they Bugatti was majorly underwhelming. The Aston 4 door has shocking handling. Normally I don't like the racing cars but the Jag and the Furari are probably the 2 that I'll continue to use. Haven't tried the BMW or the AUDI, but no real keepers in this pack compared to past ones.

Hoping for the LFA, McLaren-MP12?, SLS, new 911 turbo and the Bugatti Veyron convertible and the new 4 door they are working on, in the following packs.

I'd like to see the headlamps as well.

So far, I've been having too much fun with the 911. Very quick car, & is quite tail happy, even with all aids on. However, with the spoiler modification (& I really wished Turn10 would update the new "FM3" spoiler for all the cars), it really holds the rear down & can make a great little race car with decent tuning.

Also impressed with the Ford & Z4, the latter being extremely well composed in the turns. EB110, however, feels like it's understeering sometimes....

All Bugatti EB110s - the SS, the GT and even the Dauer version - are 4WD. The exception is the B Engineering Edonis which is RWD, but also only shares the carbon fibre tub with the EB110...

Che (turn 10 dev) dissagrees

Che @ fm.net
The Bugatti EB110SS is a RWD (and lighter) car.

The Bugatti EB110GT is an AWD car.

What's the problem here?

Then

Che @ fm.net
The EB110SS is a RWD car, and that's the model we sourced. Yes, we know the owner of the car too. Do we need to prove it? Nah. :)

After he closes the thread, he changes the name to:

"I was wrong about the Bugatti EB110SS - It's a RWD car after all."

With no proof of his own except the "You're wrong" response.

Pity, really.

The EB110SS is lighter and slightly more powerful than the EB110GT (though it should be pointed out that the European-market EB110GT is actually lighter than the US-market EB110SS), but, as standard, they are 4WD. That's not to say this owner hasn't changed his car to RWD, but they left the factory 4WD.

If you check out the B Engineering Edonis, you'll see that they use the EB110SS as a base, but remove the car's 4WD system.

Che's a little moron not telling the truth so Turn10 doesn't look wrong.

I mean, really now, how are you going to sit there & tell me this car is RWD when Bugatti says otherwise?
http://yo.spc.free.fr/Bugatti register/EB110_GT/SS_spec.jpg

"Michelin has custom built the most advanced tyres which, together with the 4-wheel drive system ensure exceptional road holding and safe handling even at the highest speeds."

Plain. As. Day. T10 has made a pretty good game, however the attitudes of some of their more public employees makes me wonder sometimes.

When all know She is a jackass.

I'd like to call him something else, but the AUP suggests that I do not.

RWD was an option, so is clearly possible that the one they model is a RWD, i dont think its a lie.

And yes, as much as i like Turn10 i dont have problems admiting that Che is a douchebag.

RWD wasn't an option. They all left the factory 4WD.

But it's quite easy to change a 4WD car to a 2WD one. Especially if you have enough money that you can buy a £300,000 car. So the particular car that they modelled could well have been RWD, but to say "EB110GT is 4WD. EB110SS is RWD" is patently false - not to mention the childish editing of the guy's thread title and locking it, in an attempt to stifle discussion.

But dont take Che as the whole turn10 team. I believe that the EB110 they test was RWD, also where it says that ALL of them left the factory AWD, i dont see why a costumer could not have asked for a more lighter EB110.

I didn't name anyone - individual or group.

I believe that the EB110 they test was RWD

Without any evidence either way, it's tough to make the call.

You miss the point somewhat. Allow me to elaborate:

Bugatti
EB110GT - 4 wheel drive
EB110SS - 4 wheel drive

The Bugatti EB110SS is a RWD (and lighter) car.
The Bugatti EB110GT is an AWD car.

What's the problem here?

The claims are at odds. The vehicle's manufacturer says that all models were 4WD. The game manufacturer says one model is 4WD and one is RWD - not that one individual example of a model happens to be RWD.

The car they tested could well have been RWD. The claim that all EB110SSs are RWD is a false one.
