I've tried both the D1GP cars. GT4 isn't as easy to drift like in GT3 but then the great improvement in the driving physics made drifting closer to real life.

Does the Mercedes SLR have air brakes and do any of the RUF's have them and/or high speed downforce spoilers that raise once at a certain speed?

Yes, air brakes. The car was used for high speed runs in the late 80's, early 90's.

The SLR does I don't think any of the Ruf'as have them though, they only have them in GT4 if the car has them in real life and I don't think any of the Ruf's in GT4 have them.

The Cyrsler Crossfire had a speed spoiler that lifts up at a certain speed in GT Concept. Don't think any of the RUF's had them in GT3.
