JDM 6 STAR CHALLENGE

Team Recruitment

OK, so we've made it this far now. We have two team captains, Sting and Ballstothewall, and as I write this, still need to sort out which manufacturer they would like. But, in the mean time, I am now opening up the team spots.

Basically, if you want to be a team captain, you gotta act fast, cos that remaining 1 slot will go quick! Once you are a team captain, your job will then be to recruit another 3 drivers for your team, bringing the total number of drivers (hopefully) to 12 drivers. Then, you must select 2 manufacturers to run.

So without further ado, let's get down to it! I will post the manufacturers with the three cars i've chosen for them and the slots which would need to be filled for them. Here they are:

I was talking with arora and I will be joining him if he can find two more team mate's.

Well, I don't know how well I'd do, or if there's some rule I'm missing that excludes me from joining, but I'd like to be on Mazda or Nissan if possible, although I can see niether really has a captain yet. This would be my first "Long Race Series" I'd ever participate in though, so be wary.

Del is interested .. but time is the enemy . I'm willing to race ; as a driver not a captain . Not sure if id be so lucky but these are the only cars i want to race ...

2002 RX-7 Spirit R Type A
2004 Impreza STi Spec-C
1997 Supra RZ

MINICOOPER120 and Delfino: I think I might have a solution for both of you:

you both join Mazda, that way Del can drive the Spirit A and MINI can be the team captain. Everyone's happy! :)

Also, each team will have to have 2 of 1 car, so you are free to both have the Spirit A if you want :)

OK, LOON will be our "Driver 2" on our team Mazda. You can put him down.

I don't think you'll be able to get 19 more people enter so here's my suggestion, we split everybody up, each taking car manufacturer, and get this race on down the road.

What do you think?

I was thinking you could remove one more driver per team, leaving no car to be used twice, and less total drivers. Maybe one team could have two manufacturers too, cutting the drivers in half, but making the race longer.

So each driver will have two cars to drive and double the races?

Sounds good to me.

come on guys, i want to get this up and running, and ignoring it won't make it happen. even if you've never done an OLR series, just have a go. no-one expects anything from anyone, it's just for fun!

can we have some more drivers please?

DEAD, HORSE, FLOGGING, YOU, ARE, A!

Re-arrange as you like!

But the sentiment is the same!

In my opinion, there are too many series running at the moment to support this one as well!
No offence meant at all! Honestly!

But,

In the long-race forum, the JGTC and the LMS seem to be taking the fore-front.
Leaving little time for anything else!

Just my opinion as always

It's not the quantity, it appears to be the quality. I think a lot of former OLRers seem to be disappearing on us leaving us with thin fields and even now guys are starting to spend less and less time on OLR's as the GT Planet population as a whole seem to be realising that this OLR stuff is a lot of to do about a little. There seem to be "worthwhile" events and then some events which have a great concept but wouldn't be beneficial or possible competitors have concerns about how the series will be ran by who (grammatical errors are my specialty.) What I am saying is the numbers don't seem to be the same as they were back in the old days, of course that memory is a bit skewed as for ages on GT Planet we've all been debating quality vs. quantity for series'. Also, no personal attacks here.

i think what i'll do is reschedule it. i'll close recruitment up for now, and when it gets quiet around here, i'll try again. how's that?

Sounds good to me.👍

Just pm me to let me know when its started again.
