I know that this will of been brought up before but, how the hell do you do this. Abs has to be at least one. Should i go manual or automatic. Should i have active steering set to? What should i have steering sensitivity as? I can not do it after going through many threads and im sorry, different forums! I use a DS3 controller.

Set all aids off (or at least the ones you can) and just practice a little.
Is this the one where you exit from pit lane or when you are at the back of the grid?

This is easy with my tip... If its the one where u exit from tip, its just drafting luck. But if its the one where you start last, just follow the guy in front of you. He gets to first so draft him the whole 2 Laos. Good luck buddy.

If I remember correctly, you can't configure brake bias before the start of the event, so I had to do it on every single attempt after exiting the pit, but setting brake bias to 10/10 severely cripples ASM so that it's almost like turning it completely off. It's just a shame that PD are daft and make us sit through the whole minute-long pit sequence on every single attempt. It's an enormous waste of time and a needless aggravation. Having the event simply pick up as you're leaving the pit lane would make too much sense.

Pretty sure this isn't the pit one?

I restarted the game a few weeks ago (for fun)

Trying the final advanced special, wow it's unforgiving. I don't remember having this much trouble when i golded way back at release.

Could someone give it a go?

The best i've done is silver. It appears it's more to do with luck as the outcome is always different even though i'm driving fast, smooth and clean.

Just did these on my GTP account yesturday. All aids off, manual trans. Took me 1 time for each one till I got to the last one. That one required 4 tries. Just keep trying, you'll get it.

Can you remember if you ever took the outside of the corner or it was all inside except at the start when you draft to get into 10th?:crazy:

I believe I took an inside line at one point. I did this while watching American Chopper on my other tv so I wasn't really paying attention to how I did it, I just did it, lol.

It's a while since I've done these so I may be wrong here, but if it's the pit one you veer hard right straight up into the line of traffic IMMEDIATELY upon exiting the pits. You may have difficulties at times with a smooth merge but when it comes off successfully you will be running about 3rd or 4th and it's a doddle from there. You're looking to get up there into the line of traffic and get a clean shunt from cars behind you which helps you get up to speed.

Might have another play with it this morning to be sure it's the one.

Sorry man, it's not that one. It's 2 laps of Daytona without the pit start. You start 11th and have to draft a line so perfectly it's almost unrepeatable. Grrrrr:nervous::nervous:

Thats the one that took me 4 tries. Irun these cars all the time so it wasn't that big of deal. Just keep at it and don't get fustrated. Concentrate and be smooth. Get to know the driving line and habits of the AI cars. You'll get it. Good luck. 👍

My settings with DS3:
ABS 1, Active Steering strong, Sensitivity -2, Manual gear
Really frustrating challenge, never lose recoil. Keep trying, good luck!

ABS to 10, almost the same as having it at 0

Silent, you don't know the first thing about NASCAR, lol. Just messin' you. How ya been bud? I am having trouble understanding that ABS setting tho. Never tried it so I can't comment on it but on paper, it shouldn't work. All my assists are off. Never heard of ABS on 10 tho for this. Now you know, I'm going to have to go and check this out now, lol.

I put ABS to 10 and for some reason I was able to keep more speed through the corners. It's stupid how ASM is always on in that event...

Thats weird because according to theory, it should slow you down. Weirder things have happened tho I guess. Not that I don't believe you, but I'm gonna have to test this myself.

Ok ABS isn't the problem for this, what may be wrong with the way you are driving, how to win it is as you start, stay on the high (outside) part of the track. Pass the first car to reach 11th place. Once you enter Turn 1, continue to REMAIN on the high side! as that is where the draft is. After you get back onto the straight, you would then be able to continue drafting the main pack and eventually be able to catch up before turn 3, after that you can begin to make your move and slingshot past everyone

Ok, just tested out this ABS 10 setting. I tried it 5 times with it set to 10. The best I got was 3rd. Then did it 5 times with ABS set at 1 like I have previously done it. Won it 4 out of 5 times. So, according to my findings, I would say keep ABS at 1.

You need 900 degree wheel... After I switch from 270 to 900 I was able to get gold even with the latest update. Precision is the key to win.

I don't know get how it works when it shouldn't but for some reason it works and gives you a bit more speed.

You're right, I realised as soon as I got there. Upshift timing perfectly from the start and follow Jimmy Johnson through on the highside past the red car to take 11th. As stated here already, trail the 48 and stay as high as possible until you get close enough to the pack to be well in the draft. Staying low for the pass as much as possible, I grabbed 2nd coming through the last turn staying low even though the 48 took the high line and passing Busch lowside on the run to the line. It's a reasonably easy drive once you figure out the lines and AI patterns.

All assists off, MT, and ABS at 1.
