Yea. Those announcers were wierd. When he said "Mugen" he pronounced it "Moogen". I always thought it was pronounced "Myugen". Which is the correct pronunciation?

I have always called it Moo-Gen. I know alot of North Americans call it Myoo-Gen.

If youve only ever read it, then how would you know. I have heard it pronounced on videos Ive got from kazaa.

Is JGTC still on Speed? Its Monday Febuary 10th 2003. I saw a quick advertisement on SPEED about 10 minutes ago, and it said something about 12pm, but I didnt catch a date because I just noticed it at the last second.

Will someone please help me.

I know the JGTC season starts on March 29 '03 but people are mentioning SPEED showing re-runs.

the japanese language only has the following vowel sounds.

a - i - u - e - o

thats : ah, ee, ooh, aye, oh
"e" actually sounds like a cross between "aye" and "eh"

the "yu" sound exhists in japanese language, but it would be spelled, "yu" in roman letters. if it is spelled "mugen", it is pronounced "mooooooooo".

ahhhhhh curse New Zealand television. mmmmmm either seach for hours and download a 500MB video or emigrate to america.....tough decision.

Curse NZ TV, airplane tickets and 56k modems

Just one thing, incase no one knew (of course, I could be mistaken) any Japanese pronunciation of Mugen could be wrong since Mugen is not a Japanese company, though that may have changed in terms of ownership. I think it is Swedish or Swiss.

I think JGTC is on sky sports in England, although I don't have cable/digital so i'm not sure. Although I think we have had it longer than the Americans have.

Maybe look at skys website.

Races are at 9 to 10 pm, sometimes they show the whole thing on SPEED, i saw one about 2 weeks ago and they showed all the rounds of it.

Mugen: \moo-gen\ (soft "g").

Mugen, according to the Japanese characters used for it's spelling, is composed of the sounds "Mu" (meaning: no, not, non-existant) and "Gen" (meaning: limit, barrier).

Thus, Mugen = Infinite in English.

Mugen was formed as a aftermarket supplier to Honda; namely, because they company was formed by Soichiro Honda's cousins, or so the story goes. (Never heard anything about a Swedish company involved...?)
