JGTC Off-Season thread

I'm interested in joining this season, and tracks aren't a problem for me, but could someone please post up a list of all eligible cars please? I'm very interested in this, and can't wait for it to start.

So when's a rough idea of when JGTC will start?

I really want to run it, but if it overlaps too much with GTPLMS it's going to be tough.

Thanks,

Joe

I'm ready and waiting boss :)
have no idea as to what to add for any cars that might fit the criteria.
I'm hoping that we get a little bit longer races this season :)

Ok, the JGTC S5 thread will probably be posted tomorrow Saturday 05/09.
I believe that by this weekend we will have a new thread up for the upcoming season. 👍

The only one who knows what's going on is Eats, and he's not saying!

No car lists, no track lists, no now't!

It was promised this weekend just gone, but didn't appear (as usual, with absolutely no explanation what so ever!)

One rule for us, another for Eats!

I'm sorry Eats, but you DEMAND that we stick to your schedules, your time scales, your rules, and we do! 'WE' do it without question, following YOUR rules, and suffer from 'the great wall of silence' and a DNF if we are even a minute late with our results due to RL.

If you are going to be such a strict task-master, then at least show US the respect we deserve!
If you say you are going to do something, then do it, or at least tell us why you haven't.
Play it fair with the rest of us, just like we do with you!

Geeeze Neil don't hold back so much, say what you mean, you don't have to sugarcoat it, we're all adults here...well except maybe JR!! :) I think he's entering his "second childhood". Remember you're parents saying that when you were young about one of your old senile relatives?

I really am looking forward to another JGTC season!!

i believe that eats is getting the finishing touches done. not posting things until he's ready for them. some of us could use the lesson (me). have faith Neil, good times ahead.

too bad eats won't be racing at Le Mans. (hint hint).

🤬 I am too an adult ! - stamping foot and holding breath

actualy, what I think Eats' is up to is - he asked for input - from us - and we haven't given him any to date. Thus my previous post. Some of us are like myself - ignant' :dunce: - I'm not at the level of sophistication that some of you are at in GT4 - I'm barely able to find the gas and brake :dopey:

To the vets of JGTC - might I remind you of last season ? hmmm ?

Enthusiasim has never been lacking in the core of JGTC - like kids at Christmass morining - we just want to race ! :)

Eat's has given us the best long race series on the planet - period. No disrespect to any other mods' out there. He's harsh - so what ! Sure we'd like quicker results - er - ego stroking :sly: - and I know that our time zones are literaly across the world - sure we'd like to find out our weight/hp for the next big race/qual - I've seen his job - two words come to mind - Hell No !

So settle down - do your homework - figure out if there are tracks or cars that haven't been run and meet the JGTC format for the 300 series - and send them in to him or post them here. I for one enjoyed racing new tracks last season 👍 We had one hell of a race for the team championship, while Chris and Eat's had theirs :) We didn't do so bad

Was waiting on feedbacks on key questions and didn't get a single thing until today finally. I'm not going to put a thread up without knowing the pulse of the mass.

And not sure what kind of respect you guys are talking about but as far as I know the JGTC series is still in vacancy, not a single S5 post was made yet and no timeframe was ever given on the actual start of this season. But one thing is for sure, once the real stuff gets under way I will host this thing just like I did for S4 wich was technically almost perfect and always on time.

The point and penalty system is as good as it can be.👍
I hope there will be the Wedssports Celica in the line up.

About the tracks:
I think there is time to try out Hong Kong,a new city track, just like last season New York was and Monaco again!!!
There could be Apricot Hill,Fuji,SSR5,keep them in the schedule, please.

Everything else is perfect,so I think there is no need to change things that work.:sly:

OK, OK!

I maybe was a 'little' over critical, and slightly too ascerbic.
I am just impatient, and was a little tipsy after pool last night.

Sorry Eats! I'm a little too honest and forthright for my own good sometimes, especially when i've had a beer or three.

OK, crawling over!

I would like to see Monaco again, and don't mind having Seoul in, but Hong Kong's too dark and distracting for a good race.

As to the teams, yeah! keep em in for those that want them!👍
The points and pen's sytems are as close as poss to perfect already, so why fix something that ain't broke?
Cars, don't mind what cars are in as long as the RX-7 remains! 👍

Neil

Sorry GTX, but i hate SSR5. Too dark. Same w/ Hong Kong...maybe in Pre-season. Monaco I agree with, fun technical track. Apricot Hill and Midfield are personal faves, as is Infineon.
Cars are pretty much set aren't they? I can't think of any GT300 that hasn't been in before. The CWest Silvia maybe, but it eats tires faster than I eat my Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs. :)

which reminds me...is there going to be pre-season event(s), or is it just hey...go racing!

c

Carefully replies......

Who knows?

Neil

Hey Chris, don't dis SSR5, that's my favorite course and I own it!!! I wait every season for SSR5 cause I know I'll be in the points.

I'd also love to see Deep Forest Reverse, my second favorite course

I've got to agree with the SS 5
how about ?
Costa di Amalfi
Cote d' Azur
Deep Forest - either way
Fuji 2005
Grand Valley
Hong Kong - sorry Chris, but it was on my list also
Infineon
Laguna
Seattle- we could try reverse this season ?
Suzuka - just gotta have it because
Trial Mountain - we've been here before I think
Tsukuba - again, just because
Twin Ring Montegi - sun glare and all !

I'm still at a loss about the cars - but those are my choices for the tracks on the upcoming season.
I've got to agree with the rest of the gang on the points and penalty system there Eat's.... you've tweaked them to where I can't see anything left to play with --- well, checking shorts LOL

Well,J.R.,personally I like Costa di Amalfi very much.It was in a race in the hungarian hotlap competition with a rally car,and this way it was O.K.👍
But with eats's settings (I mean forced pit entry and strong tyre wear plus A.Idiots) that could be the hell itself.:ouch:
Where to overtake other cars?:guilty:
Where the hell is the pit?:indiff:
About the "dark" tracks...We need a race in the night,I think.:)
Totally agree in case of Seattle...that's gonna be a fun race there.
Keep the original japanese tracks too and the half of the schedule is given.:dopey:

I was under the impression that Costa di Amalfi was a one-on-one course only.

Am I mistaken?

Oh, and by the way folks, hi!

Could always do a lottery once all the teams are assembled, each team or driver would pick a course. Just a thought

Funny how we all chime in NOW on courses :)

So, since everyone else is... ;)

My hotspots would be:
- Fuji Speedway 2005 GT (<-- note the GT :) )
- Twin Ring Motegi - Road Course
- Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
- Grand Valley Speedway

Honorable mention/fresh blood:
- SSR5
- Seattle Circuit
- Hong Kong

2 cents deposited...

I was under the impression that Costa di Amalfi was a one-on-one course only.

Am I mistaken?
No, I believe you are correct.

As for my suggestions for tracks to race on, I agree on a round @ Cote d' Azur(Monaco). Also, anyone else up for a round at Apricot Hill? Also, will there be an All-Star round this season like the last? If so, I suggest it should be held @ Circuit de la Sarthe I.:sly:

Anyone have a rough idea (guess, even) of when this might start?

Just trying to see how much overlap there might be with the end of GTPLMS.

Thanks,

Joe

I am now working as we speak on creating the interest/sign-up thread for S5 to post it tomorrow. The actual date S5 will start that I don't know but we're talking something in the range of 1-2 weeks (closer to 2 I believe) after the sign-up thread is posted.
