If I may ask ... what is the purpose of the preseason race? Is it for team balancing or some sort of qualifier?

We can call it like that. :) But like I said you guys are the one doing your teams, not me. But I will still give directions for a fair play to everyone.

I look forward to doing this race when my friend gets my copy of GT4 returned to me!
 
Just went for a couple laps and boy I'm pushing. Pretty satisfied for a first try at it but there's still some time to save here and there. Tomorrow I'll conclude my driving for this challenge.

The only thing I can't understand is why you didn't do the -10% weight thing. I'm an honest racer and I hope everyone else is too, but I'm just wondering why you chose not to do this?
 
-10% weight for what exactly? This is not a race for points or anything, it's just a simple skills qualification challenge. lol if some people are that sad to cheat on something that doesn't even count well that's pretty god damm low :lol:

And with no sector times discussion it's ten times better because you don't know exactly before seeing the final results if you're competitive or not.

Yes but tell me your point I want to know the thing about the -10% weight. That's just a security basically to prevent some tards to cheat? Don't you have to accept at the same time the hp increase to make this logical?
 
You cannot find any proof of weight in the replay screen. Thus you can run any weight you want and nobody will know.

Anyway ive run a decent amount and quite happy with my time, will be submitting it soon. :D
 
The point about the -10% weight is that only the car power is displayed in the opening screen of a replay. If there's a request to use the stock weight, there's no way to verify if the driver didn't actually use the -10% weight.

That's the reason most of the WRS races allow the -10%. It prevents the possibility of cheating (whether intentional or accidental).

About the qual lap...

That Cusco/Advan Impreza is a freakin fast car! I just kept getting faster and faster almost every lap. I ran about 50 laps and improved my original clean lap time by over 5 seconds!

That usually doesn't happen. Generally, my first clean lap is only a second or two slower than my fastest record lap.

Autumn Ring has pretty trees. :)

I did one very good lap time. Btw, i can down 0.2 on top driving, not further i guess.

So, i won´t post the time now, i will get that 0.2 remaining so i post it, its 3 pm now, maybe midnight im posting it. :D

Yup, the Cusco is one hell of a cool car to drive. And I also tried to pick a fun track to match the perfect combo and I think I succeeded. :sly:

Nope, no talking about what so ever car info for this challenge. Hope you guys are really pushing to the best of your potential.
 
When you say Tires "Your Choice" we can run Super-softs correct? Just want everything to be clear so that there is no confusion on my part.
