RULES : Standard Online Racing rules for clean racing applied when ever possible.

After we have seen different pit strategies, perhaps you would stop the ban of RSH for next race (If all the grid use them, you can ban them another time)

Re: Michelin - Since I'm the only one in GT500 on Michelins, I'll be like David Coulthard and want to race even if they're dangerous. Besides, Max Mosely is going to resign anyway (fingers crossed that Bernie will be following him out the door). If they sanction you, we'll start a breakaway series, appoint you to run it, and keep racing. What do you think? :)

BTW, sorry for not submitting a qualifying time. I will be sbumitting a race time (at 11:30 p.m. Sunday night, as usual...).

Was a pretty good race. I know I am not fast enough for a podium but hopefully I will manage to get some points.

I ran a few practice sessions last night - just 10-15 laps a piece - to try and get my tire strategy down. I always seem to do something different than everyine else, but after last night I'm *SURE* that I'm about to do the right thing :p

I'll take her for the real thing tonight, but one thing I noticed ... and I was very disappointed by this ... is that I overtook the ENTIRE FIELD half way around the first lap ... that's insane.
 
I find that with the AI at 10 they drive faster cars, but they are still stupendously ignorant of how to drive around a race track. They brake mid-corner instead of the slow-in, fast-out. They bang into each other. It is pathetic. Also, starting them on R2s hurts them even more. They don't have enough traction to try and keep up.
 
I think that's why we have to start on T2s; because I certainly don't want to drive for close to an hour with inept drivers around me constantly. Otherwise, we'd all have plenty of drive through penalties to slow us down even more.
 
Just had a great, great race with the AI ... easy to pass in the first lap, but after that they really pulled it out. I think I got a good strategy on my pitting and on one of my stops the 2nd and 3rd placed car were coming along the straight just as I was screaming at my pit crew to put me down and get me out on the track ... I pulled out only hundreths before the 2nd placed car ... great moment!
 
This is not a super easy track to pass on with this AI ... they have enough HP to stay ahead on the main straight, so you have to try and underbrake them, but with these corners that can be difficult ... especially because the AI can be all over the place and break at really funny times. I tend to follow behind him with my foot on my brake watching his rear lights ... I worry so much about rearending him at an odd moment, that I typically lose my chance to overtake :p
 
@viper: R4's? Hmm won't they pit like every 4 laps then? That may not be desirable either 💡

@Koly: I haven't run my first session yet (tonight's the night :) ) but from my experience at this track I'll say two things: if you have the right car and approach, turn 1 is the best overtaking opportunity, and secondly, try to get past the guy in front of you before turn 8 (entering the slow final sector) because overtaking in there can get very messy, and you'll likely get held up behind him until the main straight (unless you like to play bumper cars that is) 👍
 
Im real sorry about qualifying but i was shifting house and we dont have any phone lines at our new house so i cant even use 56k. Im at a friends house atm as i really wanted to run the race. I will try my best to get the time to you before the deadline.

Round 4 i should have at least 56k at home so i can be on time then 👍
 
Eats ive got an odd question. I finished a lap down to the AI so I only was able to run 34 laps, can I submit that time anyway? The only reason I ask is because I am really, really, really, sucking at this track and I dont want to run it again.

If I can submit it I will and I apologize to kenny for my sorry A$$ performance this week.

I had a good race here ... almost every lap was within 3 tenths of all the other laps and traffic didn't hold me up at all. A tire strategy I had in mind didn't work out, but this went well because when I pitted I was in 1st place and about 25 seconds up ... I really didn't expect to hold onto the lead, but they dropped me down and pushed me out literally hundreths before the 2nd and 3rd place car ... staying in the lead like that really helped me avoid traffic and it kept my speed up; I was really happy with that.

Didn't hit the AI again until the last 2 laps and it wasn't a 'problem' until the very last corner on the last lap, so I couldn't be happier.

I'll almost certainly be submitting this race, but I'm soooooooooo tempted to re-run not because I think I can be faster, but it's so much damned fun!!!

I wish we could up the AI to +15 :p

I need a valid time in minutes and seconds, if you don't have one and only a 1 lap behind information then it's not worth a thing in the race results.
 
You would need to submit a "+1 Lap" result which would probably put you at the bottom of the list.
 
Time submited , unfortunately i had spin on lap 28 i costed me 6sec :(
 
I won't be re-running this with intent to beat my time (maybe only for enjoyment), so I'm handing in my time now. Lord, hope I've got my tire stategy right this time!!!
 
Hmm...the AI here are very challenging 👍 They're fast, but they take straaaaange lines through some turns and brake in funny places :odd:

All in all though an awesome battle. I claimed 3rd place fairly easily while 3 of the cars were getting it all wrong while duking it out, but I followed the 2nd place Alfa for 2 laps looking for an opening, studying his line. He was slowing me down badly in some turns but when he dropped the hammer he was off like a shot. After passing the Alfa it took another half lap to catch the Impreza LM Race Car and, thanks to PD's variable-skill AI :lol: , he also goes too hot into turn 4 so getting him wasn't as hard.

Anyway, played with two tire strategies this week, I'm still not convinced I chose the right one, but anyway, no more time to run again. I lacked concentration a little due to recent events and couldn't find my rhythm as a result, so sorry to Ev0, I may be a little slow this week :nervous:

Time submitted. I really hope my pit strategy was okay. AI was much more well behaved this time around.
 
Sadly i won´t be posting my time today coz i will have to go out with my cousin and will be back just tomorrow, so again i got pissed of. But at least now im saying before, so no problem at all. I though in racing this race yesterday but i got a busy day too, so i won´t race this time.
 
This round has the potential to be my worst ever in the calendar, I just hope it's the same for the others so I get a little chance. :nervous:
 
Time submitted - ran a fairly clean race, only a couple of slight off's. Finished 2nd drafting the 1st place guy across the line, 1 more lap and i would of had first place. :crazy: The AI on this track for my race were pretty fast though made up most of my time in the esses section. Just had to watch my breaking areas when i got close, 1 car cost me about 1-2 seconds which cost me the 1st place finish and 196 a-spec points :banghead:
 
won my 200 point race almost a lap up on 2nd

did 3 stints on mediums, 1 on hards~
24 laps mediums, 11 hards
