JGTC S1 Round 4 Qualif + Results

Not sure if I should start to freak out but I went in my room to start my ps2 and run some laps on R246 when I realized my air conditioner was off. Hell something was wrong because when I came back from work I started it. I go to open my tv and nothing works...turn on the lights and nothing works either. :nervous: Go in the other room and nothing works there also! So basically power is in all the rooms in the house except those two. WTF :guilty:

Ever have one of those days... ya know what needs to be done, but make stupid little mistakes here and there, and just can't get to where you were the day before?

ARG.. 10 laps and called it quits last night! Somehow just could not get in the grove for a whole lap. Got better in areas, just never on the SAME lap..
You just described my qualifying run this afternoon. I know I can personally gain .2 seconds in the first sector, but I keep on screwing up the lap if I manage to hit it perfectly!

I hear ya evo, theres a lot of tricky sections on this track if you don't hit them quite rite you can screw yourself bad. The two 90 deg turns after the tight S turn are the ones that always get me and 1/5 of my laps i end up screwing myself on the turn right before the S turn because it's flat out untill you get to the 90's.

I think I just did some flying laps.....I will be very surprised if I don't get third

Ohh - I just broke a certain second barrier :)
I'll be happy with my time even if I get dead last.

I was having problems with my shifter on my DFP and had to sort that out. I managed to pull out a decent enough lap (for me anyways) before I ran out of time.

I keep f-ing it up either under braking into the first turn or in the long 180 turn. I know I can gain a second but when ever I realize I'm doing good I ball it up and turn in too early or sumthing.

Awwwww what the hell, I thought deadline was last night. I don't like this feeling man, I had a couple tenths to improve......time submitted. :p

me too MR8,

i actually think qualyfying is too long...
it would be nicer to have the x-tra day put towards the race...

I just obliterated my old record by a half second. I'm not sure if I'm going to have enough time to make another run today, so it's been submitted. I'm still very happy with my time anyways, I think it should be very competitive.

I have really put in 120% into this weeks qualy. I hope I will be fast enough to be in the top half of the group, but I am not sure.

When you start talking like that, you start winning

So we come to the streets over here in my temporary home.... Well guess it not far for me to go each day .. GL to all 👍

"It's round 4 of the 2005 JGTC racing series here in Tokyo. And there's Teledriel fever in the air! The crowds are filled with Japanese spectators waving the infamous pouncing kitten flags. The pressure's on Teledriel, can he get the desired podium on home soil? We'll have to wait and see"

Sorry, I had to do an F1 style intro thingy hehe, MY FIRST RACE! Good luck everyone.

Damn it, I swear there's another half-second in my lap somewhere but I just can't find it and I don't have the time for another run  Too slow through turn 10 and a questionable exit speed from turn 6 :irked:

Oh well, time submitted. Good luck to everyone

As Teledriel enters the garage late at night, he seems miffed and yet happy.

SO how was the runs today Tele?

Well, as always I know I will be at mid to back of the grid. Today's runs were just gettign the groove though. Ran out of time. I could feel best laps coming though, maybe just use that knowledge when I get to the race. Just that Final turn is still a problem area, but was getting it somewhat under control I think.

Anything special of note?

Well, this is a FAST course. Ya got to just feel the power of all these cars, when ya whip through alot of these corners at full throtle, hopeing for that ever elusive second. Alot have mentioned earlier today, that if ya turn the wheel just a fraction to far, ya just cause trouble for the whole lap.

Tis a late night and must get rest for tire testing tomorrow. Just glad to be back home and able to support my fans in some fashion.

Time submitted. tried last night before heading off, but the site wouldn't load for me. Have a question for GT300's after results are posted, and need to know are times allowed to be discussed after you post Eats?. As writen I just ran out of time. I was feeling ALOT better on my runs last night than the day before. Heck, my first run I had broke my old best. And just got little better as I went. Just ran out of time, as had to work this morning.

Time submited.
Unfortunately I have lost at least .2 at last harpin :/
Making good laps during whole race will be difficult imo - for example because of 2 left turns after t2 - its hard for me to take them flat-out every time :/

Looks like some of the top people have submitted already, but not I. I'm going to get every last thousandth out of this car to ensure a hopeful first place :)

and yes, when Peyton does talk like that, he DOES win!

I think there is just enough time for qualification and the race, actually. Please don't change it, I'm busy enough as it is.

Qual Time submitted.

Good to have you back racing Soyfu 👍
Didnt have time for many Laps myself :nervous:
Good luck to everyone on the results.

Steve

Time submitted :sly: :D: Fairly happy with my run, only a .1x or so left on the track but thats about it. Will be happy when the race starts. See ya's in my rearview mirror  .

Grrrrr.

I beat my personal best by .2, but I left .1 on the track for sure ... that always annoys me, but I'm only getting frustrated and I'm not finding my groove. Not sure how much the weight difference has made, but I'm not good at this track anyway and I know I'm way off the pace.

Still, I did as well as I could, so time SUBMITTED!

Bring on the race :p

Time submitted.

I have laps where I get one section perfect and then screw up the other sections. Or vice-versa, screw up the first sector and then gain loads of time on the ghost car over the other two sectors.

There was one lap where I gained .5 seconds in the first sector, so I became very conservative during the rest of the lap, hoping to not screw up and lose the advantage. Turns out I was too conservative, since I gained only a tenth on that lap. :dunce:

I know that if I added up my best sector times, my lap time would be over a second faster.

Best of luck to you guys.

(BTW, hOt6o4bOi: if I recall, you're a JP Montoya fan. Congrats on his win in the British GP. I was rooting for him to finally get a McLaren win.)
