JGTC S2 Round 10 Race + Results

so viper is busy with work... that means results later...

hold on the the champagne folks...

i hope i can secure a second place finish in the standings... but after my last try, and first with 4 pits, i got a little worried...

anyway, now lets just wait and see... while we get ready for S2

I ran one race. A spin in turn 2 cost me a few seconds.

I did 2 pits going 9 laps on R3's. Smart? I don't know...

I think one race is a little to few. :p But perhaps that is good for me. ;)

My race was super clean, with one off on lap 23 trying to run a fast lap. Just pushed a bit to hard and slid off at Spoon Curve. I had 5 pit stops, on laps 5, 10, 15, 21 and 24. The first three I ran RM/RS, but on the last two i put on RS/RS for some extra speed for some fast lap fun. Overall, a good week, and I really enjoyed this track. I find I can run really consistanly here, within tenths between laps.

I really hope I win, and Drew and Nouv are in 2nd and 3rd, so then I may have a chance against Andge. I don't know how he has to finish relative to me, and I don't feel like doing the math ATM. Also, good luck guys, I don't want to wish bad luck on people, but at this point, I'm kinda desperate. :p

I'd like to thank EV4L for the best experience of my gaming life. It has been a blast racing with everyone, and I can only hope it gets more competitive next season. :)

Exactly the same here.
5 pits, 3 times RM/RS and 3 times RS/RS.

Laps 5, 10, 15, 19, 23...
 
I managed 3 pits at 6, 12, and at 18. Ran a little easier and slower to get 6 laps on RM's, until lap 18 and then switched to RH's. Had slower laps but fewer pits, it's a big gamble but with the extra weight and being 1.2 seconds slower in qualifing I couldn't count on fast laps so I took the turtle approach. Hope the rabbit screws up like in the fable.
 
One race result is under investigation, please be patient.

I know you're all about to go :crazy: and :scared: because of the wait but results will be up anyway tonight, :)
 
Rule # 1 : Always save your replay

Rule # 2 : Save your replays

Rule # 3 : Save your damm replay!!!


Bottom line, even if you don't send your replay files to me you can need it for replay investigation/verification. So save it!
 
i´m going to bed now... one more night waiting...

but tomorrow will be a good day, with all the new threads about this and the next JGTC season:dopey:

Ka Wow! Another really close race.

Congrats to jctraduz for showing the pace I knew he had, and to ejr_1 for doing the business in GT300. Well done to the other podium getters, particularly fasj for putting in a stellar time in his "crap" car. ;)

I'll do a proper post in the teams and drivers thread. I must say the biggest emotion I'm feeling at the moment is relief.

This was a great race to finish a great season. Thanks eatsviper4lunch. 👍
 
Well, It's a difference of 11 to 12 in Weight to all other racers.

But it's a good season end.

i´m really happy. the season ended the way i wanted. i have to do the math, nut i think its my 4th 2nd place finish...:dopey:

congrats to the JGTC family (if i can call it that way) for making this the best OLR experience ever...

Congratulations to the GT500 and GT300 class Champions and thanks again, EV4L.

I think I'm happier about getting 2nd quick race lap at Suzuka than anything, although the third place finish with the maxed out weight disadvantage was certainly acceptable given the circuit. The quick lap times and the weight numbers tell at least part of the story.

Had conflicting data from testing and couldn't make a definite decision about tires and pitting, so I went with my intuition and did four stops. I wanted to get a quick lap and I had only one chance, which was on the third lap of the first stint when the softs were just right.

Gonna rest up some and get a little therapy at Chamonix in the NSX type Zero. Then prep for next season.

Let's see, how did those points stack up through the last six races of the S1 season........................?
 
Congratulations to all the fine JGTC drivers. What a great season, wish I could have started from the beginning, but there's always next season!!!
EV4L, what can I say...well done my friend, your hard work and dedication are testaments to the great season we all had. Bring on S2!! JGTC RULES!!!

Hey Nuvo, us "moochers" were not DENIED!!!!! No hard feelings Soyfu, but your denied comment after the quali. was the incentive I needed to work extra hard....thanks man!!! Great Season, see ya all in S2.

Sure did! Looking forward to some fun competition next season. We all sort of know how each other drives now which will make S2 even more fun!!!

Give it a try at 10 laps or so and see what you think (at difficulty 10, of course). I'd like to know. I initially just figured, what the ......

Turned out to be very happy in the snow.
