JGTC S2 Teams & Drivers Ranking

Soyfu that's a really really nice job 👍 I just love all the stats I can get and those make me :)

We could use some of your tables & graphs and incorporate those in a little website for S2. Let me know if you're still interested to make some for next season. :)
Sure, thing. My only request would be to limit the number of rounds to 9 so I don't have to deal with the oddball double-digit Round 10. :-D

ZeratulSG
Yes but let's actually include everyone in all the stats, that would be nice 👍
even all you part time moochers? ;)

Thank goodness I'll be full time next season so I won't be a "moocher" anymore :) Ouch!!

I would like to apologize to everyone for not being a good contender in this season's final races. Specially to my teammate. Maybe in this final race I will be able to to do something to see...

jc, no apology necessary. it's all for the love of the game.

Updated w/ R10 qual points (did not effect rankings):

It's official... Fandango Racing has clinched the JGTC S1 victory.
Congratulations on a solid season, FASJ6418 and Andge08. You were the only team to manage to have both drivers participate in every event!

Other observations:
-VTRacing is still a powerhouse but is in serious danger of losing the GT500 crown. Go get him, Casio!!

@GT300 team drivers (ejr_1, Andge08, Teledriel)
Men, it has been my pleasure to compete with you, this season. See you at the post-race celebration (paid for by Andge and Fandango Racing!).

Realistically, I can't see it happening. I really needed to pole this week and just didn't have the time. For me to get this championship, VT needs to come 7th, and I have to win. 8 people submitted for Qualifying, and 3 people have more weight then him...

believe in yourself asio;)

Soyfu
even all you part time moochers?
Hey I've competed in every race since Round 1 of the test season, been lugging my DFP all over the world to compete in JGTC, I ain't no part-time moocher ;) ;)

But yeah, it's really nice work and it'd be nice to be able to make use of it 👍

Thanks for the support guys.

Why does everyone support the underdog? ;)

Anyway, good luck with your race Casio, and watch out for turn one. :trouble:

yes, watch out for turn one!

you guys will spin... and look who´s the fat kid coming from 3rd to take the lead?

:dopey:

that´s right. that´s under-underdog. so if anyone wants to cheer for me, thanks.

but its time to celebrate now, as i won something:dopey:

congrats andrew, remember that old song that always play in those situations...

"we are the champions"

its been a great season... best of luck for you going into the last round...

👍

 Fandango Racing takes the team championship home!! Congrats fasj6418 & Andge08!

Second position goes to Team Rotarz, VTRacing & Teledriel 👍

Third place goes to John McClane Racing, jctraduz & Soyfu 👍

For the individual honors now.

VTRacing keeps his cool under the pressure and takes home the overall GT500 driver award! :)

7 points back in 2nd place we have fasj6418 👍 brilliant season and should be a contender for S2

8 points back in 3rd position we have Casio 👍 also should do very well again in S2

In a crazy close finish Andge08 holds on to his lead and wraps up the GT300 driver award! :)

2 points back   we see ejr_1 who really gave it all in the last 2 rounds to catch Andge 👍

3rd with 15 pts back we have Soyfu with a very solid season 👍

Congrats to all the other participants as well, this was a very fun season and we hope to see you all back for S2. :D

OH MY GOD!!!! Talk about amazing.

Great job Andge and VTR, you both earned you titles, and to Fandango Racing on winning the teams championship. 👍

Also, congrats to Soyfu, you really scared me at the end there, when I realized what a threat you were. Congrats on finishing 3rd in class. I can't believe it came down to two points in the end for GT300. That's just plain amazing. But to think, if Andge had of finished one position back at Suzuka and we would have tied.   To finish second, knowing I gave it my all at the end really feels good.

Also, I can't forget to congratulate VTR, fasj, and Casio on there respective podiums in GT500. It was equally as close as GT300, and even more exciting if you asked me. :p

Thanks so much, like I already said in my Suzuka Race post. :)

I'm looking foreward to racing with all of you in S2. It's going to be fun. :)

Thanks, I really enjoyed the battle, too. After qualifying for pole position, I guess I made a mistake going with the 2 stop strategy. I'm going to be thinking about Round 10 for a long time, now...

What could've been? ;)

Great end game push, ejr.

Agreed. I was just as interested to see the GT500 outcome as my own rank. Those guys put on one heck of a show!

AND I STILL DIDN'T WIN A ****ING RACE!!!

But hats off to you Fasj, snatching that 2nd place away, with more weight as well. Good job!

VT, you deserved the win this season, you've been outstanding.

Well done everyone who raced this season! It's been a blast. Hope it's this good next season!

Thank you ev4l and Casio for your kind words.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting to win this championship when the season started. All I wanted was to have good fun racing with a great group of fellow racers, and maybe pick up a win or two like last season.

The early races were a bit of a struggle for me, coming to grips with a car that didn't really suit my preferred style of driving. And I'm sorry for all the whingeing I did early in the season, but I was very close to asking ev4l for a different car! Thankfully I stuck with it, and with some advice from various racers (hotboi, fasj, and later on, Nuvolari) managed to find a way to maximise the advantages of the RX-8 and limit its shortcomings.

But the thing I like most about this series is the close, friendly racing with the other GT500 contenders. Every race I knew I had to do my best because I know how fast fasj6418, Casio, Zeratul, eatsviper, and everyone else can be. It always amazes me how close each race is, despite running for nearly an hour there's rarely more than a minute or two covering the field. That's a testament to the format of the series so a big 👍 to eats for that.

I'm also really proud that Team Rotarz held on to 2nd in the teams championship (despite a late charge by John McClane! :scared: ), so my team-mate Teledriel deserves a big thank you. I know I often wasn't able to give you as much help as I would have liked, but you were always there plugging away and submitting every week. 👍 👍

Anyway, that's enough rambling from me. I hope everyone enjoyed this series as much as I did, because I'm honoured to race with such a great bunch.

Now let's make season 2 even better.

well, where to start...

first and foremost, to me the greatest thing about the series its the friendly, and ultra competitive enviroment that we have here.

it was not just about race i had as much fun talking to other guys then racing... if i don´t have every driver on MSN is just because i don´t know their adress... we sure had long "non official discussions" over the season... always great...

and speaking of talking with each other, i know its been a while since we talk andge, but what a great season! we had almost the same number of points, we get the teams championship and you were the champion on GT300:bowdown: i hope you stick around for S2...

in my particular class, the end of the season was just amazing... i finish one miserable point ahead of casio! you must hate me now:) i guess my 6 races at suzuka made that happen...

we had a lot of talk about the cars, and thankfully nobody got mad because of that like it happen in the DTM series (appie knows what i´m talking about). i know i sometimes complained a lot about the car, but no excuses, cars were not the reasons why a driver 'A" did well and other not. point is, to VTR you really deserved:tup:

i could talk a bit about every driver, but i might forget to speak of someone, so congrats to all, and the best part of all this is...

today we already start the pre season of S2

:dopey:

 to this and the next season... now that this one is over, lets do it again EV4L:tup:

Great Season all ... I started strong, but with with things moving fast here in Japan for me to get home, sort of dropped off but still managed each week to try to submit something. Great run VTR 👍

Again S2 will be a Part - Time gig while I return to the states, and hopefully fine tune a few things to improve. Will be alot of testing on the Teledriel front during that time.

Gratz to all the racers, the Podiums, and Fandango Racing for the team win.

Major development today around the world of JGTC racing. After further verification the final standings have now changed due to the tardiness of the race admin. :sly: 13 pts were given on R7 to Team Rotarz when in reality they only scored 10 pts (4 for VTR and 6 for Teledriel).

This makes John McClane come in second in the teams championship, 2 pts ahead of Team Rotarz.

So the official result can be seen like this :

1st - Fandango Racing (207 pts)
2nd - John McClane Racing (168 pts)
3rd - Team Rotarz (166 pts)

Sorry for the mistake guys.

Woot!

Stats tables updated:
http://mysite.verizon.net/vzeqxc9w/JGTC/

As you can see, from the team table, the difference came down to fastest lap bonus points! Excellent battle, guys!

Oh well, good job jctraduz and Soyfu. 👍

:cough: Foul play .. :sly:

Gratz you two.

We still did good VTR!!

Thanks for being good sports, VTR and Teledriel. Sorry it worked out this way.

Speaking of foul play...
I know nothing was coordinated intentionally but when I worked up my team rank table and found the discrepency, it was like uncovering a conspiracy! :)

For almost an hour, I didn't know why I was coming up with different team scores. I double and triple checked all my cell forumlas and then re-entered all the data for both our teams. The scores still came out the same. So I went back to EV4L's older team rank tables and noticed the change in Rotarz' Round 7 score from 10pts to 13pts. For a minute, I thought maybe it was a correction but I checked it all out with the race results for Round 7 and then I had found the culprit.

Very exciting that it was so close!
