JGTC S3 Round 1 Qualif + Results

Congratulations to the fast qualifiers in Round One.

Regarding GT300 times, I'm glad to see that the top ten times are all within one second. I was interested to see if the new horsepower settings resulting from the car testing were proved by the qualifying times. It looks reasonable to conclude that power is at least close enough for the first race, and as we proceed and weight is added or reduced, the competition among the contenders will become more "interesting".

For the newer drivers, don't be distressed by your qualifying postion if it's not what you expected. You'll find that smooth and smart driving in the race may pay off, given your having done careful tire testing and analysis of what you and your car can do over the long haul.

Good luck to all and hang in there. There's always the Silver Lining of the possiblity of losing weight, and remember the super-fast guys will be gaining weight as rapidly as they drive.

We now see that in GT300, the RX-7 is slow, and the Subi and Honda are fast. BTTW, Drew, we better step up our game. :ouch: But OMG, the GT300 field is close! 10 cars with-in 1 second of each other. :eek: Eats, you've done good. 👍
My thoughts exactly opon seeing my position in the board. I got all that I could out there, spent 100's of laps, hours and hours.:crazy:
But as has been also said, on some of the twisty track, we might get it back.
So, swings and roundabouts again, I suppose.

So should I be distressed if I'm in the Top5?:) I really didn't think I had a chance with all you good drivers, but I came within .05 of EV4L. I'm shocked.:dopey:

Usually if it's the last replay you saved, it'll be the last replay on the AR Max... But not always. It's best to have another memory card to save your latest runs on, as well as on your main card, and then upload the replays from there. Yes, it does suck.

Well, it's not completely just from the last corner... Hot's time was probably also because of his speed coming out of that turn right before T2... Must've been pretty nuts that he gained that much on you though Casio. Then again though, he is an Alien... What's up with Dan(Holl)? I was looking forward to see what he managed compared to Curtis.
 
well well well, only getting back from my trip now... nice results in R1... i´m happy with 3rd, didn´t get to run tons of laps, but tonight i´ll start with the race... congrats to curtis and iceman for their poles... now lets hit the road for the race 👍
