JGTC S3 Round 11 Race + Results

Got you by 0.722s bud!

Oh no!

Wait a sec, that's the fastest lap!

Race time, think it's about 9.946 seconds that I got ya by!:sly:

Read the PM I sent you a mo ago!
I've already submitted to eats and fasj and my partner has submitted, so I'll open the submissions that I have to get a head start on things...

Gawd Dang it!
Shaw we'd alls know'd ya lang nuff t' trust ya Bud!

Anyway, your in a diff class than me, so I couldn't give a monkey's if you know my time! (Ged'it?)

That is, until I partner Drew next season and start running in the 500 class! :)

Well done tard...um I mean Neil, seems we're about as close in times over long periods as any two drivers here. No matter which one of us wins it's never by very much. We should be about even in points, I was ahead for awhile but you (barely)beat me the last two weeks so we're either dead even or you have a point or two on me. Guess our little battle will come down to Laguna, my least favorite and slowest track of the last two seasons.

Before this race the leading drivers in GT300 are
Eats 136
Icemanger 131
Drew 129
Neil 128
GTX Driver 121

that's as far as I got, sorry JR, but if eats doesn't submit then first, second, third and fourth places are all up in the air. Gonna be another close season ending!!!

Argh!

Laguna Seca!

One of my favorite tracks in GT3 (apart from Seattle that is!, Why wasn't it included in this series?)
One of my least favorite in GT4!

The changes that PD made to it are aweful! AND they didn't address the one GLARING point they have always got wrong, the final corner!

In real life it is no-where near as sharp as it is in the game, AND there is loads of grass-crete/run-off outside of it in RL too!

They spent millions of Yen getting every millimeter of Suzuka and Fuji absolutely correct, and couldn't get one corner of one of the most famous tracks in the world right!
Also, why are there no British tracks in the game?
Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Donnington Park, Oulton Park, Knockhill, Snetterton, Croft, Mallory, Cadwell Park............just to name a few that come to my PK & malt whiskey addled brain at this time!
Also I will mention, of course (as it's the most scenic track in the world) Phillip Island!

Damn, I'm rambling!

Too little sleep, really sore knee's still (thank god that my back's settled down), too many painkillers, and a few drams!

Sorry guys!

Neil

This was only hella hard race! this was only the second complete race I managed. Lost count of the number of times I hit the apex of the first right (top of the first hillock) just that millimeter too far to the right, and got sent airbourne and spinning.
Did it twice in one race and carried on to see how the tyre strategy worked (never hit the walls), only to exit before the end of the final lap cos the time lost in the spins/recoveries was too much.

Never thought I would get second tho!

Way to shed time there Francisco! Did you change pit strategy? That's a lot to lose just driving better... BTW, suck on that weight and power loss man! It's gonna be a squeaker though. Points are CLOSE! :^) I'll have to put some time in for sure...

Overall happy with the results as far as the individual championships are concerned, but looks like the team points are pretty well out of reach.

Off to Monterey.
