JGTC S3 Round 3 Race + Results

He must have used a worm-hole!

Was gonna do that myself, but couldn't sqeeze the fat ass of the RX7 through the event horizon.

That's a really fast time man!

You got me, by less than .2 of a second. and Drew by .01 more!
Mind you, you have more Hp and less weight. Not taking anything away from you, honestly.
Just making myself feel better, I put at least 15 hours into this race what with re-starts @3/4 through and all.

I got a 59'25.416, with a fastest lap of 1'32.092.

RM/RS all race with 3 pitstops only! Yup, you read it right 3 pitstops!

9/9/10 & 9 lap stints.

Damn ,you have beatten my fastest lap by a 0.15.Great lap.
I tried the 3 stops also,but I did 59,49.xxx ,because of my tires on laps 9 and 10.
But anyway ,I would like to see the results ,because I'm starting to bellieve and dream with my first pódium...

Well hold the phones!

Drew beat my fastest lap by nearly .7! But he did use softs for it though. :indiff:
If I had used softs for one stint (which I did try) I would have had 1'30.0xx!, but I was shooting for the race time more than fastest lap.

3rd round and a 3rd different winner for both GT500 and GT300. :sly: Top 3 submitted times for GT300 were 0.179 apart which is pretty crazy!
 
Bit of a typo on Drew22's time there eats...

Amazing finish guys! I thought a couple of seconds was a close finish. Yowza... Crazy way to win/lose points!

Well that's what I get for only running the race once. I think I'm pretty much out of the running, but I'm going to try hard to keep my SHig in the teams running.

I've already done my qual session since I'm flying out of the country tomorrow for a week at +8% weight. BTW, with only 9 submissions, how exactly DOES the weight get distributed?

Wonderful result, and congrats to both RicFight and Andy, glad the 10 sec pen didn't effect the result!

At least I wont have an Air-restrictor pen for the next 3 rounds.

Yup, in all the excitement of the GT300 result, I completely missed the fact the my team-mate won the GT500 class!

Well done partner, now for the GV experience whilst feeling a little bloated!

Out of curiosity, I just worked out that Ricfight won by approx 0.0045 of a second a lap!
And I beat Drew by approx 0.0029 of a second a lap (discounting the 10 sec pen)

Bloody close racing :crazy:

Would of been a close to 3 wide finish (does it even fit at Monaco??? :lol:) with Ricfight ahead by a car, and you with the front bumper only on Andy!!! :eek:

Did you watch the 2005 Monaco GP? The move Michael pulled on Ralf toward the finish line...I think 3 abreast is JUST possible provided all 3 drivers are serious professionals :)
 
Just quickly...

Well done Casio on finally grabbing a win! And the GT300 guys as usual for providing a freakishly close finish. 👍

I only ran this race once, with AI on +10 and with speed limiter penalty on. I turned the penalty on because I knew that without it, if I brushed a wall or another car I would wonder whether it would have been enough to attract a penalty. It's a bit distracting. As it is, you can make qute serious contact with other objects and not get a penalty, I wouldn't mind if it was a bit more sensitive.

Having said all that, I did receive one 10 second penalty in the race, when I came across a Ford GT parked blocking the road at Rascasse, with the nose into the inside Armco. He was just about to go in for a pitstop and had spun on old tyres. In the real world, he would have been lucky to survive as I ploughed into the side of his car. Of course, in the real world there might have been yellow flags!

Some blue flags would have been nice, too.
