the old man laid down for a nap :( .... as the heat in the garage must be around 120 or so.... woke up about 5 min. late to post :( ...sigh ...sucks getting old... LOL
at least I don't get a penalty :) being a part timer, toss in slow too... as my best was around 1:11.8 :(
 
Woohoo! Quali point. Really close grouping for the bottom 4 GT500 (who chose to submit!!). Glad I kept at it. And to think early on I thought that a mid 1'06 was decent! :^P

After seeing the results, I can't say that I quite belive that. ;)

Nice work grabbing pole, though. It seems the S2k wasn't the greatest car at Deep Forest because I feel like I pushed it quite to the limit. I got within 1 sec of Ricfight (who I regard as a better driver than myself) while carrying more weight. I'll have to give it a shot in your 301hp/980kg Altezza, to see if it was man or machine. :)
 
The Altezza is a retarded cornering machine. Turns I would take in my Cusco while slacking (even tapping) the gas I could do it flat out with the Altezza. While it lacks in brute power, it gains with it's low weight and high corneting speed. I will try both the S2000 and Altezza tonight or tomorrow if I have time. :)
 
I drove the Altezza last season and was quite happy with it's handling, wanted something different this season but may go back to it next season.

Did you or Eats give it a try yet?

It might not even have been 20 minutes to tell you the truth. I can reach something within about a half a second off my limit with this car in a very quick amount of time. With the RSS tires and the low power and the way it handles and my skill/knowledge behind the wheel I can whip something decent out pretty fast. I had no idea I was going to be faster than everyone else for that amount of time. I guess the car's really good on this track or something? I seriously did not have time to run this week.

Just so you know, I'm basically a D1 driver when I try in the WRS now, and competed in the last board challenge... I don't remember what division I was in when we used to go at it together, so I don't know if you've moved up like I have, or...?

Not trying to sound cocky, even though I am, but there's no real other way to say it. :dunce: As far as I can think of currently after being out in the 100 degree weather all day on limited sleep and an insane red burn over almost every inch of my body...
