JGTC S3 Round 9 Race + Results

Hey shockwave, did you submit this week? Spill man...

Also, M3T, do you know what eats' time is?

I think that's all that's left of the puzzle.

I say unless something seriously bad has happened, sactions are in order. Or everyone goes back to stock weight! :^)

I like your idea Scott...but I doubt we'd get a concensus. Something must have happened to prevent eats from posting......I hope nothing too serious. It's like kids, you get sick worrying where they are ,then when they showup in one piece you're madder then hell at them.


Dang, it's 10:00 PM EST(about 43:00 PM in Europe) and there are 5 JGTC drivers online....and nobody else.

Ev4l is on ESTERN time ! I don't understand the hype about stock weight and such. This got absolutly nothing to do with it. Just because SHig is heavy doesm't mean we have to get back to normal weight. Btw, I'm just as heavy in GT300.
BTTW offered his help to keep things updated if Ev4l isn't able to. I'm pretty sure that something happened. So, everybody calm down and stop talking about stupid weight reductions. Everyone should finish the season it was planned to be. Stick to the rules !!!

Totally agreed man, we were just joking.....well I was, and Scott probably was too...just passing time. We can figure our weight if we use the table from BTTW and we'll be close enough to run this weeks quali. I'm sure when eats gets here he'll delay the deadline if needed.

WHOA!! Yeah, what Drew said... As you'll notice there's always been a smiley when I've proposed the weight leveling.

How can you be "pretty sure" something has happened? Can you be "pretty sure" what shockwave or eats' times were? That'd be impressive...

Rules? Did you say rules? Like posting results and such in a timely manner so that the season could flow as planned? Bah... I've mentioned in the past instances where eats has neglected his responsibilities that _I'D_ be more than willing to take on the task of posting results if only eats would forward them to me the second he first logs on following posting deadline. He's BEEN online a few times, and no delegation of duties, no hint of what the deal is, no explanation, and as in the past, no apologies.

If I sound bitter, I APOLOGIZE. I commit a lot of my time, energy, and dedication to this series, and I have fun, even at +10% and -2%. Of course I wouldn't accept the tabula rasa with regards to penalty weight. I signed on to run this series in a particular way and I plan to follow through.

If I sound STUPID, then I'm embarrassed because I like to think of myself as rational and intelligent.

I'm just tired of waiting...

Truth of the matter is, you can't really enforce weight penalty anyway, so I could actually qual at whatever weight I want to, right?

Oh well...

That's exactly what I thought to do. Who know's if Ev4l show's up or not. We should use the results as they are right now. It is Wednesday, just 3 more days to get the quali done. Let's work with what we have.

This is ridiculous. Here it's Thursday night. Qualifying has to be in by sometime in the middle of the morning on Sunday. So I have to submit before I bed on Saturday.

Tomorrow, I have to go out and film my media production, and possibly go out to dinner. I'm working from 8-5 on Saturday then I'm going to a place without an Internet connection.

So now, I probably have all of...I don't know, 45 minutes to get a qualifying time. I should have a week. I don't care. I'm submitting 1 week from when Eats posts the round 10 qualifying thread.

I'm seriously considering not re-joining this next season. Which is a shame because it's something I enjoy. I've kept my mouth shut for a while, but I can no longer live in the hypocrisy of a Race Admin blowing his top when racers don't meet their commitments, then he doesn't deliver his.

I don't care if 'a situation has arisen', he could at least take 3 minutes out of his day to say that something has happened. He's taken at least that to get perfect set-ups every race in the GTP batracer game, so he has an internet connection.

and a 1'27.2xx best lap

but again i didn't submit, ran it a bit too late to submit it... :s

am a bit lost at the moment, GT4 overload, may take a break from most of my racing for a while... will finish this season though...

Reliable info tells me that M3T finished somewhere between Shig and Fasj, so that's where he is. Shockwave and my partner Casio both get DNS :(

Eats gets a DNS, because, well, basically, he ain't contacted anyone and asked for help, and we know not what he got for a time. So again sorry but a DNS.

If Eats comes on see's this and doesn't like it, so be it! But we have a schedule to stick to, and with only 3 races to go.......?

Anyway, I'll step up for results handling, and do the best I can!

great neil. and i thought i was slacking GT...

i can´t understand what´s happening, but lets get back on track. now we can qualify, tabulate the scores and stuff, this is better.

👍 for the friends that are committed and finishing their seasons, we should have lots of good online races with GT5:dopey:

Anyway, with my qualifying being within a second or two of last weeks, I figure 34 - 35 laps. Just my guess/suggestion in the absence of admin.

ps - Congrats to my partner ejr for his win! Way to keep us in the points man! With only +3% as max weight gain, you're still in good shape for the rest of the races I think! I'm just sad that I had to hold off so long to "officially" say this...
 
I was out of town for multiple days and unable to have access to the internet. Do not worry the qualif week for R10 will be extended for one extra week so everyone will have the time to run.

PS this was something serious, I could not come back and even missed work for the first 3 days of the week. Now there's a pile of crap I have to take care and settle.

Sorry again and results coming.
 
I won't race without eats setting everything. Although I feel ihe should be handling the results and so, I don't agree with this "mutiny". I'll wait for him and stay with what he decides. If we have to delay thsi week's wual, we will. But JGTC on GTP has always been eats matter, not anyone else.

I'm sure something came up, and I'll wait.

Just trying to sort things out so we could qualify, I don't appreciate the implication.
I have already PM'd Eats saying that I didn't want him to think I was trying to take over or anything, and he has no problem.

Talk about not having a couple of hours of cutting/pasting/editing for everyone's benefit appreciated. :grumpy:

Ouch!!! Did you forget your "papers"/passport? Or were you trying to smuggle over some goods? I went up there for the first time for four days two weekends ago... Went with some Volvo guys and we had a cruise/camp up there, 15 cars in all. Sooo beautiful and sooo much fun.

don't misinterpret my words. I'm portuguese and sometimes it's hard to find the correct words. And always read my words with lot of smiles and pretty faces.

It was only my way of expressing that I didn't agree with this impatience about the results. In the last three seasons, eats only failed when he had valid reasons to do it. I'll always stick to his rythm. Only once he got here late and didn't compensate us with more time.

I'm not saying I like thesse delays: I hate them, but it's the best he can do, I'm sure, and it's a pleasure to race on eats JGTC. With time, we'll have some lows and highs. They are normal and predictable. Let's not get hot and..... we're here to have fun, right? It's just a game. The best in the world, but it's only a game.

I'm the admin of GTPT Portugal. I have to deal with this kind of reactions, sometimes, 10 minutes after the deadlines. We all have RLs; we all have to understand that. Nothing changes when someone gets late (except for eats not considering some delays.....hihi)
 
I went to a car meet down south for the weekend and the next day there was a drag racing event. Let's just say we never actually went to that next day's event because of a late night altercation at the local club/bar. I guess you can all figure out the rest by now...

And for the future, it's not because "eatsviper4lunch" logged in at XXX time and date that it's actually me behind the computer. I am not the only one surfing GTP here at home but I'm the only one posting under this account. Same for about 5-6 other forums I'm registered on the net.

I wasn't far out, the only differences in the results I can see is Eats coming in 3rd and taking the extra weight off Iceman!

Funny, I thought you were ignoring me? And since when is thinking that "something happened" positive? Of course being kidnapped by a throng of college hotties in a limo and being swept to Cancun WOULD count as something, right? Sorry, man, but it was all behind me but you brough it back up. And at no point in time did I notice any whining going on. Only concern, good natured joking around, and valid constructive criticism.

In any case, I've been clammed up since eats' return, but if I may...

Eats, I know it's your series, but for the sake of continuity, can you PLEASE designate a secondary submissions receiver? I'll say it again that I'd be happy to take on the responsibility. You all can send both eats and myself your submission, and I won't open them until the deadline (you can check the read receipt timestamp) and then I'll post the results as soon as I can following submission time (unofficially, but enough so that we can start qualifying/racing again). This way, at least we can continue should something happen again. It'll be MUCH less likely that both eats AND I (or any other person) would both run into a drunken biker gang on the way to a GNX convention. (All in fun eats...)

I'm glad you're okay eats, and I'm sorry that you had such a crappy week.

Now let's see the updated points standings! :^)
