JGTC S4 Round 6 Race + Results

I've been in bed sick since last Sunday..flu sorta thingy, felt better Thursday then threw out my back getting out of bed. I'll never understand my back, I can crawl around and under my cars for hours in all sorts of convoluted positions, carry boxes of paper around at work and never hurt myself, then I turn wrong or get out of bed wrong and my back goes out....go figure. But I managed one run last night that I'm gonna have to submit, should lose some weight at least, I'll need it for Tokyo being it's such a fast course.

EDIT: Time Submitted, hey Kyle after reading your post below I have hope I may not be last. At any rate we'll both be at the bottom.

Yeah, I got sick this week too, and missed almost two full days of work...

I just don't seem to have time for this game or forum anymore! Argh.

Anywho, started racing earlier this morning... Found out that I was going to do a 3 stopper on RMs the whole time... Not until half way through my second attempt at a race did I realize that I have to stretch two of my stints into 9 lap stints... 4x8 does not 34 make... Damnit! Lol. So, back I went to it, planning stretching out my second and third stints into 9 laps.

Well, first half of the race goes fine and dandy, not fast, but not too slow either... Then a crash that gives me a penalty. Come on now, I can do this without penalties! So I restarted... Probably shouldn't have...

Next race, perfectly fine up until lap 22 or so, when I whip out my fastest lap, and on the next lap proceed to hit the wall hard enough somewhere in there to get forced into the pits. Then it's just downhill from there... 3 spins, and 3 MORE penalties. Some on the same lap. As a matter of fact, I crossed the finish line at about 40mph because of some nasty spinnage from the last turn. I've never noticed it before, but I really think this car has its gas tank in the rear... And once it gets lower, it starts to slide a bit more. Or something! Cause, DAYUM.

All in all, quite dissappointed obviously, and suprised at the same time by how much time was actually spent in the race. Argh. Whatever. Submitting, no more time to race today.

Edit: Oh yeah, I must say, I definitely appreciate my car's even tire wear... I'd be at least 5 seconds slower if my tires didn't wear out evenly, I'm sure of it. Then again, if my fronts wore out faster, I doubt I'd have spun so many times.

Yeah, I feel your pain. I think I had to restart the race at least 5 times because of penalties or spins. One time I got a 1'07.4xx but in my final run I didn't manage to repeat that.

Smoker of a lap... Fastest in my last race was a 1'08.030, but that wasn't at the end of the race. We'll see what I do now.

Wellllll, I'm back from my thing much much sooner than expected. I already submitted, but I'm going to do one more run on the off chance that Eats'll accept it...

Ahem!

Fastest lap of 1'06.649!

Three pits!

:sly:

This is the only completed race I have ran. (And this at the very last minute, too! Literally PM'd Eats at 12'57 GMT, two minutes after completing it)
One ended with a Z doin 40mph less than me in the final corner, on lap 32.
And some tyre testing the other day.
That's all I had the time for.

T.K.

Wowzers. Nice racing Neil.

I ended up not running another race. Oh well.

Ta!:)

Did 3 stints of 9 on mediums (Fastest lap 1'08.4ish, slowest lap of 1'09.3ish with traffic)
Then 7 laps on softs!

2nd place 2 laps down, really happy with it.

The race that ended @L32 was a 8/10/10/6 but, I think it would have been slower.

I am really sorry, eats.I was sick,I've been in bed whole weekend with steaming ears:my body temperature was a little bit high with 39,5 Celsius degree.

Now I'm feeling guilty...but better.
This week I will show no mercy.

Wow, I was hoping for a podium :-) I guess it was an RX7 track and not having any extra weight from previous races helped too ...

Edit - this means I will suffer even more at Tokyo (I hate that track) :-)

I'm sorry about not submitting my time, I was celebrating my 18th b'day for the majority of the weekend and didn't have the time to run the race. I will make up for it next round though, I should have more spare time this weekend.
