RULES : Standard online racing rules for clean racing applied when ever possible.

Race :

Minimum of 2 wheels on track
Rumble strips are part of the track
No intentional AI contact
No wall riding
No wall touching
No short cutting
No cheating of any kind


Since this is a semi-enduro format (between 40-45 mins) we can’t really ask for 100% error free races. But you must still follow the same basic rules layed down for qualifications and use them when ever possible. Since you are racing with other AI cars little incident may occur and result in an excursion off the track, those are normal racing battles. Passing another car should always be done with caution and fair play just like in real life.

Driving Options

Transmission : Your Choice
Driving Aids : None
Tires : Racing Medium (really important, the AI must start on RM tires)
Difficulty : +10


Quick Tune-Up

Power : Enter The Given Number
Weight : Enter The Given Number
Top Speed : Your choice
Driving Aids : None
Transmission : Your Choice
Tyre Type : Racing
Front Tires : RH, RM, RS
Rear Tires : RH, RM, RS

*RSH and RSS tires are banned this season, a driver getting caught using any of those will get an automatic disqualification for the event*

WEIGHT PENALTY

1st +5% 2nd +3% 3rd +1%
4th/5th/6th : 0
7th/8th : -1%
9th/10th : -2%
11th and lower : -3%



AIR RESTRICTOR

The winning driver will have a -1% hp air restrictor penalty in place for the next round. This penalty will be in effect for the next 3 races and then dropped after that determined period of time. Exp : A driver winning R3 will get -1% hp for rounds 4-5-6 and on R7 he'll see his power come back to normal. A driver winning again in that 3 races penalty period will gain another -1% hp but the 3 races period won't be resetted like in the past to 3. The longest a penalty (-1%) will hit will be 3 races.
 
Bugger. 26 laps... With 24, I could've passed a whole pit. I guess I'll go mix some compounds then.
 
I'm sure you can make it last one more lap per stint. I'm usually able to stretch it out by a lap or two compared to my first test runs

Not with my driving-style. Not on Tokyo... It's either pushing the fronts to a premature death, or getting pushed by the AI.
 
Metar, you may suprise yourself. With further practice you'll be smoother and smoother around the track. But yeah, I'm all out on my tires too, so... We'll see.
 
:ouch: Back up to +4 weight after the second place last week!

Gonna be a struggle to keep the front's from frying.

I'm having hard time to make RM tires last for 8 laps.
This should be good battle of RX7s. Neil, Drew and me qualified within 2 seconds of each other.
 
Banker race done.
Finished second,no wall touching,no spins,no penalties.
That goddamn Nissan GT-R Concept car never wants to pit?:mad:
 
Did a banker race the other night. Nothing terribly impressive, and the number of laps make finding an optimal pit strategy a bit tricky. Anyway, with an extra 108kgs I don't see myself placing very well this week.

To make matters worse, I'm flying to London tomorrow night, so I'll have to submit before then :(

:lol: Yeah that car has some seriously good tire wear.

EDIT: Time submitted. Had a last shot tonight before my weekend away. I'm pretty happy with my run, I think it's about the best I can manage at the moment, maybe 5 seconds left on track for a few small mistakes. I had a few very close calls with penalties, and a very close race with the AI. Finished about 8 seconds up on the Nissan GT-R Concept.

Nearly had a banker done, then on L25 the Mac ran up my backside into the first corner and plowed me into the wall!:ouch:

9 laps on mediums, 2 stops.

But I am going to do a run on softs too! Just to see how it compares.

Neil,I thought that you will do the race this way.I pushed hard on the other way,I'll PM you my result in a few minutes,just to see how it compares.
 
Just ran my first race - 3 stopper. Not good at all, picked up one penalty only few laps in 1'31s. Finished almost a minute behind the leader in 5th place.
No way I'm submitting this junk. Looking to shave full minute from my total time.
 
Finally got GT4 set-up, had time for 1 race. Did a 2 stopper with a fast lap of 1'42.138.

Submitting time now.
 
sorry for being so quiet lately.... the past week hasn't been a lot of fun... no sleep ! This is my last week on the midnight shift 👍 YEAH

Ran this race as a two stopper...tried the 3 and it's just slower :(
that long pit road is what got me thinking about the pits.

I also find the time spent in pits too long for 3 stopper. I ran pretty good race but picked up a penalty on lap 24 :-(
Still finished 30 seconds ahead of my previous race.

We should land on Midfield next week. You guys, if my PS2 continues acting up. I'm totally screwed up - the only Playstation-related store in the area just closed, so I can't fix/get a new one...
 
Time submitted, ran a 2 stopper, didn't break into 1'31s but no penalties and pretty consistent race.

Hope our 3 stoppers hold up Neil, we may have gotten stomped !! At least you drive Midfield like I drive SSR5 Neil, you'll be in the thick of it.

I had a hotlap of 1'30.373 and had several 1'30 laps, but that extra stop is gonna negate fast laps. Actually I ran only about 1 second faster on RS's then RM's, thought it would be at least 1.5 seconds. Oh well , I could use a little less weight for the final stretch...no I didn't sandbag, I ran as fast as I could.

Good Luck Ya'll only three more races for S3 , can't believe we've been doing this for 3 seasons . You must be doing something right eats :)

Hey Soyfu, I had forgotten your thread, great job man, everyting in one place, I've been hopping from thread to thread to look up JGTC info from past races. Is there anyway we could sticky it?
 
Yeah, uhm... I didn't do a race... Sorry guys! Haven't touched GT4 since the last qualification, and haven't really wanted to. I've been putting it off, and off, and off... :-\

I used RH/RH for the first 2 stints, then RS/RS for the last 6 laps. Booyah Best lap! I actually got a point this week. Goes to show what happens when you put in effort.

Congrats to the Podium, and way to go Andy, show those guys what RX7's can do!

On to Midfield, hopefully a good showing, i do a lot of car testing here.

I'm amazed,although Tokyo is one of my best courses. It was actually the first course I learned in GT3, I can still remember the first time I did a lap without hitting any walls, I thought I was pretty good then!
Glad about getting points but hate going into the final stretch with extra weight. Congrats to all that finished.

Hey Neil, we're still in the thick of it!!!

Actually Neil, I think we just pulled into first place in team standings by 4 points!!!!!
