I agree with the suggestion that penalty weight could be removed quicker. I would also request cars lowest in the standings get to remove weight.

I think that might encourage some lame tactics (ie. taking a back seat in one race to lose weight and make getting a top spot in the next race easier).

Of course, that's not necessarily bad. I would consider it "lame" but it's still a legitimate strategy. I would liken it to a real race team not putting in the effort on one race that they know they won't do well in, so they can focus on preparing for another race where they have a better chance of a top finish.

Good point, but if the points standings are re-worked so the distribution is a little more even and more drivers are receiving points, anyone using that strategy would end up hampering their efforts. If they did that, then half the races would be throw-away races.

The points should be re-done because the two Nissan drivers missed quite a few races, but won the others and they ran away with the points lead, while guys like myself were scoring top 5 finishes almost every week and were not even close in the points. Either re-work the points or give the Nissans more weight to start next season. (preferably both)

BTW, another suggestion might be to allow teammates to share a car in either GT500 or GT300. They race in the same category in the same type of car. Personally, I think it would be cool.

Since we'll have 15 teams so 15 drivers in each class, I want every driver to receive some points this time. I'll use this pts system.

1st - 20pts
2nd - 18pts
3rd - 16pts
4th - 14pts
5th - 12pts
6th - 10pts
7th - 9pts
8th - 8pts
9th - 7pts
10th - 6pts
11th - 5pts
12th - 4pts
13th - 3pts
14th - 2pts
15th - 1pt

And still the 3pts-2pts-1pt for qualif and 1 extra pt for the top 3 fast lap in the race.

Weight penalty +5%,+4%,+3%,+2%,+1% for the top 5 (1st to 5th)
Weight penalty -1%,-2%,-3%,-4%,-5% for the last 5 (11th to 15th)
Middle 5 don't gain or loose any weight (6th to 10th)

For the loosing penalty weight rule I'm now working on it.

OOWW!! That's a"heavy" weight penalty system you got there.

Prob. would only gain weight to the point you could not gain any more in just a few races. Then it's drive your arse off for what ever position and points you can get.

Exactly my goal, in the real JGTC a car will NEVER win races after races during a season. Hell I've seen some years back that the winner didn't even win a single race to take the championship home. +10% and -10% are the limits on both extremes.

don´t know if this will be the thread for gerenal suggestions for S2, but i thought it would be good to bring back this old thread:tup:

so, already to start new ideias, would be crazy to think about a 12 or 15 race schedule?

any thoughts?

All the threads regarding the appreciation of S1, comments, suggestion, and registration for S2 will be up in about 2 weeks.

We'll have to discuss on the weekly/2 weeks time frame per round. And yes my plan was to up the amount of races to 12.
