Did anyone watch it last night? Is anyone as excited about it as I am? Any thoughts?

I am just in love with the concept, Money grubbing girls are going down this time!

For those of you that have no idea what I am talking about: Joe Millionaire is a new show here in the states that the network Fox has developed. It basicly takes the idea of "The Bachelor" or "Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire," and adds a little twist.

See they have gathered 20 woman and told them that the guy they about to fight over is worth 50 million dollars. When in fact the Bachelor is just a construction worker that makes about 19,000 dollars a year. Which the show will inform the girls till the end. Its to see which matters the most, the love for the guy, or the love for the money, that doesn't exist.

Fantasic! :D

I think the concept is funny, but I refuse to watch any reality TV shows. I think it's helping to cheapen society as a whole. There are too many TV shows that play down to people instead of offering an intellectual stimulus.
This is the type of thing that leads to "Leet speek"
:p

It's a series that will last for the rest of this season (until Football is back probably.) So basically we get to see this guy get laid in every episode as all the women lobby for his affections (his "millions".)

Is it going for that long? I was thinking it would only go for about 6 weeks tops. He already cut 8, and he cuts 7 more next week, leaving only 5.

Honestly, this show looks like it'll be boring until the episode when they find out the truth.

Oh, and BTW, 13375|>34|< |<!(|<5 455

That show was quite weird. I watched it and I thought it was great how he didn't know jack s*** about what to do. He was moreless clueless about the whole style of living.

It's one guy and 20 women. (Reality T.V show) All the women think he inherited 50 million dollars when he makes like $19,000 a year as a construction worker. It's basically seeing who the golddiggers in the group are and who's true in a relationship or something of that nature.

Why the f is he trying to pick the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with, the one he wants to marry the most, etc.?

He's a ****ing moron. He needs to be picking the hottest girl there, and concentrate on ****ing her, and all the other girl's, brains out, as we all know damn well as soon as they find out he's a poor construction worker they're gonna leave his ass.

So the female dog got kicked off the show!! YAY!

I kinda wanted her to stay on, so she would be the one to get the bad news.

I've not watched any reality shows.
To me it's like watching an accident happen. Then sticking around to see if anyone got killed, and how gory their death was.

reality tv is basically people doing things on tv with out a script or orchestration, which makes it reality tv as they are living moment to moment like real life. sorta

There may not be a script, but I think there is a lot of orchestration. These shows have producers. Producers decide how the show will be and make sure it happens. I guess it's entertaining to watch real people in very unreal situations. But it's more entertaining to watch actors and their craft. It's how the cheap-ass networks make more money not having to pay actors. I'm afraid the era of the good series is on the way out.

It is definitely orchestrated.

And please stop this program from coming over here in the UK as well as American Idol.

The UK and Europe is where this so-called reality programming got it's start. It was some Survivor-esque show. The American Survivor is a rip-off of it.

So thanks for that UK :p

I think the idea for the show is hilarious, but the show itself was boring the one time I watched it. I'll probably watch the last episode for a little bit to see if it's interesting.

Unlike Cops, perhaps?

Yeah, since I've had no cable, I'm stunned how 99% of all the basic network programming plays to the lowest common denominator.

So what did everyone think about the last show?

He picked the right girl in my opinion. The "twist" was pretty easy to predict also!

Update on their relationship is next week, will you be watching?
