Jordan's user content "blog / favourites"..??

Apologies if this has been suggested before..

Just wondered what Jordan or the site staff felt about having somewhere on GTP whereby Jordan could "blog" (not sure what to call it) GTP content which he liked - this could be photo's, replays, posts, setups etc etc..

I think it'd be not just interesting to see what Jordan 'likes', but also a great way to reach out to users / members..

Maybe, whilst the site staff were policing / administering the site, if they saw content which they felt were good examples, or something exceptional / good, they could 'file' this (in some way) and when Jordan has time to view, he could go through this and pick content which he likes, or possibly feels it highlights the values of the site or site rules etc...

(not sure I've explained that too well)..

It's not a very good example, but the TV shows where the guy at the top, goes back to ground level, whenever the people (at ground level) see this, or are involved in this, it generally seems to create a positive response for them, and all round, generally..

That's a hell of an idea. We could put it in the Rumble Strip and call it, hmm I dunno --- how about The Official GT Weekly Rewind Thread?

So... the rewind?

I thought some elements of "rewind" was user / member voting, not Jordan's personal choice??

EDIT: try reading my post and the 'rewind' again..

I'm talking about Jordan's personal choice, NOT member voting / voted choices.

So... The GT Weekly Rewind Jordan Edition?

Does this mean it'll eventually become "The Official Force India Weekly Rewind"?

Who said anything about being weekly or a set / regular timescale???

(try re-reading it again  )

The suggestion is a 'blog' of some kind, some kind of record / favourite list of member content that Jordan likes. Whether he likes it because it's funny, or a very good photo or photo of a favourite car, or whether it's something done that exemplifies the attitude Jordan wishes members to have, or something which is of excellent quality etc etc.

The volume, timescales etc are irrelevant - whats relevant is that it gives an insight into what the creator of this site personally 'likes' in terms of all kinds of member content (relating to GT is what I mean as that's the reason most of us have joined).

The same way someone would create a playlist of songs (from different artists /etc) from a particular genre / type of music. They add to it, as and when they find something they like...

So.. Jordan's erratic-posting-pattern Rewind? Will it be bought out by Force India to be called the Force India Erratic-Posting-Pattern Rewind?

If it helps any, the Pics of the Day that have been populating GTP's social media outposts lately (like the Facebook page, or Twitter) are picked by Jordan. Members of the staff might point him to different galleries/threads, but each of those pictures have been his choice and his alone.

Also, if you want to get really... let's say "determined", you could always check his profile and view his recent activity, skimming for notifications about when he's liked a post :P

Cool - thanks for the constructive reply, makes a nice change compared to the other replies received so far...

Ummm, would that make me the first official Jordan 'stalker'....?!?!

Got alot of respect for what he's achieved with GTP, and more-so, the way he personally responds to queries etc but not quite sure I was meaning to go to 'stalker' status... (!)

I appreciate the sentiment, @Highlandor. This would be fun to do, and I've been entertaining some similar ideas in my head for some time now. Ultimately, it always comes back to that pesky limited resource known as "time", and my perpetual lack of it! :P

Having said that, I am planning to join @Wardez for the GTP podcast later this week, and perhaps that could become a regular thing in the future. I'm always looking for ways to acknowledge the best contributors and contributions to the community, and that might be a good way to do so.
