Hello all. I am setting up a new season on a site that I have a league on. This season I want to do a JTCC but need about 4-5 pretty even cars.

Tuning will be set to prohibited.

My question is which Japanese Touring Cars on GT5 are pretty much even when a oil change has been done.

'Japanese' is considered a racial slur in quite a few parts around the world, and this site is one of them.

It used to be, until a little event known as WWII happened and war propaganda flooded the world with the word in slur form. Is it not derogatory where you are from?
 
The only place I can find called Beccles is in England and it's not really considered a racial slur in this country because we never had anti Japanese propaganda. That being said, it's not a term that's used much here, so... :confused:

If you're going to do a JTCC series, use the JTCC premiums surely?

I don't see how Kaz made that too hard for you?

Using the word 'Japanese' is definitely derogatory. You wouldn't use the shortened version of Aboriginal, so the same applies. It's also plain discourteous.

Getting back on track, yeah any Nissan, Toyota, Lexus, Subaru Track Cars will do averaging around 850,000 to 950,000 credits i am pretty sure, if not correct me if I'm wrong.
 
Well the Subaru one is a GT300 class car...not the same as a GT500 Supra, Skyline, NSX JGTC car would be
 
Here in the uk the biggest JDM car show is called Japfest , it is not treated as a slur in any shape or form. The lad made an innocent remark, admittedly just putting JTCC cars would have worked pretty well ;)


All the cars feel pretty balance bar the Supra's and the HSV Honda , one being seriously slow and one being seriously too quick. But if you put a weight and bhp restriction on, I would have thought this would balance things out a lot better?
 
Is there a list of all the JTCC cars in the game? As far as my knowledge goes, the GT300 and GT500 cars in the game were in JGTC / Super GT events, and the last JTCC event took place in 1998.

I was being serious. As far I know there's only JGTC cars, I could be mistaken. I always thought the two were separate.

I'd say a weight and power limit is a good idea and the question of cars appears to have been answered.

Edit: Reading the thread again, yes, you clearly are serious, but the fact remains that despite your help to the OP, two of your comments were just telling other members off for being insulted at what they viewed as racism (it doesn't appear to have been intentional) on the part of the OP and for asking a genuine question. You aren't a mod and if you feel other members are being unfair, just report them. :)

If the last JTCC event was in 1998, and the premium Super GT's are manufactured after 1998, then they very well can't be JTCC cars, now can they?
Since the OP is looking to obtain JTCC cars, isn't that information pretty relevant to the topic?
 
On BMI (Best Motoring International) the drivers still refer to GT300/GT500 as JTCC, regardless of what class they drive in. It would be fair to say that JTCC is a valid term even for the GT/Super GT class of racing, as it is the Japanese Touring Car Championship.

I was under the impression SuperGT was referred to as the Japan Grand Touring Championship, the old JGTC? I'm not to argue here or anything of that nature, just genuinely trying to gain some knowledge, as I thought the JTCC was defunct as of 1998.

Believe you are correct again Rayzah. JTCC had "other" type of cars vs Super GT/JGTC. I do not recall any JTCC cars in this game, but maybe just the Touring cars from Mazda :confused:. Believe previous generations had the Honda Accords and what not to get into the JTCC class.

This is what I always thought. I think the Calsonic Skyline was a group A car that was in the JTCC? I need to get behind the PS3 and figure this out. I think a true detailed list is in order.

The R32 Calsonic and one of the other R32 GTR's were indeed group A cars. The Calsonic hold legend status as does the GTR in group A, as it won 16 out of 16 rounds of the championship.

If you go on YouTube, there is a BMI on the GT Channel where you see the "drift king" take his old GTR group A car around Tsukuba. He also goes out in his 2001/02 JGTC NSX and sets the lap record in it. I think it was something like a 51 second lap he achieved.
