Is it just me, or is the foggy Nordschleife the most beautiful version of the circuit in GT5.
It's not a coincidence that Sony picked this version to compare it to the real thing:

Isn't it a shame we can't select it. We just have to wait for it to come by in the dynamic weather version.

PD, LET US SELECT THE FOGGY NORDSCHLEIFE!!!!!!

Petitions have been getting closed lately, I suggest you rename your thread, and yes the green hell looks great in gt5, especially in the fog
 
Dynamic weather is wery cool, but I really would like to have more options than to select "no rain."
On another note, I usually set the time of day at 5-6 in the morning on the dynamic track, and time acceleration to 1. The sunrise, and the different shadows compared to the "normal track" is enough to give a whole new experience.
And it looks awesome. :)

This could be a very silly question, but those options are only for setting up an online race? Because i would love to have that in arcade mode so i could set up a race offline with time changes but no rain, or indeed set it up to start at a specific time. Does it work for Le Mans as well btw?

Well the entire complaint (and a valid one) is that the weather system is only available in a dynamic mode. Given a lot of tracks have a 'start time' option that's usually grayed out, it looks like a simple manner of giving us access to a menu so we can be in charge of the weather.

edit: OP might have better luck by getting this translated and sent to Kaz' twitter than starting a petition that nobody will probably ever really acknowledge.
 
It looks the best becuase it isnt perfect. You dont expect pure clean cars IRL nor do you expect 100% sun, that why it looks the most real and has the best pics.

Indeed, thanks to the slight fog and the clouds, cars don't seem to be so shiny and "perfect", way more natural. It feels so realistic, that I wish it would be the standard weather for the Nordschleife.
 
Is foggy/dull the version you run in one of the AMG challenges? If so I didn't like that at all, the sky looked really bad, like a colour bar or something with clear lines where the colour changed. If that makes any sense.

Yeah got the foggy effect yesturday on an online cruise with my mate. Good times have been had in that little FTO LM. And this was one of them :)
 
Snowy sunset on PGR4 looked best to me (for it's time :))

But yeah, I don't know why you can only choose time/weather options in an online lobby either..

It didn't seem worse to me like at normal daylight, maybe it's your TV, try the "cross color reduction" setting in the PS3 menu and see if that helps.
 
I agree 100% 👍

Besides, an "overcast" option would solve the problem of those hideous trees' shades... :p
