No big deal really, just did it making a post, my new favorite part of the game, I wish there were more races like these in the game, or a way to do like a track day on the ring with 15 other cars at random points to overtake and mess around with.

I did the high speed ring and nurinbourgh one aswell they are fairly easy to beat and great money and xp the only thing is you can only get the prize once :(

How Gran Turismo works: The slower the cars are and lower the EXP/Cr prize is, the harder the challenge is.

New seasonal events are out ?

I can't do Cape Ring South and Rome Circuit Events.
Because I will never buy those two cars, ever.
Number 5 is out.
Wasn't it obvious?

If it's no big deal, why do you insist on making a thread telling everyone you've completed the races?

Because hes a hero that he completed the easiest races in the game!

And yes the 5th seasonal events have been out for a number of hours now.

Sounds like the guy is just enthusiastic about GT5 and wanted to chat about the races.
Why so douchey?

Could someone shed some light on what these events are exactly ?

What tracks, what cars etc ?

Me too, big thing

I must say having to fork out 625k for the Schwimmwagen stings a bit...:nervous:
But hey I have all the VW's now I guess...:dopey:

I actually thought the Scwimmwagen race was the best race this time, but then again had one fully tuned in my garage already (don't ask). Only downside was that since it's got all the upgrades it was way to powerfull. But very much worth all the money I'd say :)

Hehe yeah I have a pimped out Sambus I woulda loved to have used. It was a fun race and I didn't fully tune it(say mid level parts all round)59HP/819kg
Caught them coming out of the corkscrew on lap 5.

I've been making a point in these seasonal events that I've been buying a load of Premium cars and tuning them up fully and grinding money so I can take to these events and win easy XP/Credits.

This week I've missed out on the VW and 207 :grumpy:

Well I just like them, new events every week that have you buy cars you wouldn't normally buy and if you mod reasonably you stay fighting right until the last lap. To me it is far more interesting than just passing everyone at the first corner and sunday drive the race from there.

Wait shouldn't we get more exp/credits the harder we make the challenge?

can someone, anyone gift me a schwimmwagen? PLEASE!!!!! i swear i'll give it right back

psn: bimmer3002

I can't win with my VW, it only goes 56-60 mph and I have it fully upgraded!!! 100 ish HP and 819 kg, WTF, I can't adjust the tranny either, any ideas??

Buy the fully customizable transmission for 15,000/20,000 Cr, then change the gear ratios to your desired setting.

Are you new to GT5? Get a FC Transmission and set to 150km/h, then watch your car dominate everything...

Damn, thought I had bought the tranny, usually do. And yes, relatively new to GT

Loved them all. The VW challenge was the best, wheeling the beer keg around the track. Just have to watch you don't loose momentum or it will take you a lap to get back up to speed.

That's strange... My VW Bus has 203BHP.

Yeah, beat them all as well. Took me about an hour this morning. Now im doing the indy 500 all over again for those much needed xp. Thought I would get a lot more xp in the seasonal events, but didn't even jump me half a level.

No, wouldn't be fair.

How is that not fair? If anything that'll encourage people to handicap themselves to get the larger prize, and perhaps bragging rights.

Not attacking you or anything by the way.:dopey:

I agree, this is one of the most entertaining parts of the game. With only a few races left in the A-spec series I'm nearly complete on that part of it anyway. I like the concept of having to start last on a staggered start and fight your way to the lead. It would work better though if the races were balanced so that winning in a stock version of the car was not possible. It's more fun to try and see what the minimum upgrades you need to apply are to win. If I can beat the race in a stock version on the first try it's a bit of a let down.
