Where are GTPlanet's servers located? Are there many for each region? Must get costly if that's the case.

GTPlanet's primary web/database servers are located in Internap's New York City datacenter at 75 Broad Street in Manhattan. Here's a video of the facility:



Unlike a lot of sites, which typically see visitors from one country or continent, our visitors are from just about every corner of the...planet. So, there is also a network of "edge" content delivery servers in 26 cities around the world which cache content to help reduce loading times abroad. Yes, it is expensive. These edge servers are located in:

It appears as a subforum at the top of the rumble strip. It definitely used to be visible to non-premium members. Not sure since GTP12 though.

OK, I just opened up an IE window and went to GTP - the Infield is completely invisible when not signed in.
