Wheel assist on doesnt help you steer your car,it actually sets the rotation to individual cars the way they should be when on,its how the game is meant to be played..

I didn't know that. I thought wheel assist is the same as gran turismo's steering assist.

Wheel assist on doesnt help you steer your car,it actually sets the rotation to individual cars the way they should be when on,its how the game is meant to be played..[ steering rotation changes for every car with wheel assist off, all wheel assist does is try to correct oversteer moments for the driver and adds some steering help, I always have it turned off, if you want to be faster turn it off.

"Turn on to make steering easier for novices, or for the full Driveclub experience, turn the option off"
