GT5, f1 championship edition and NASCAR inside line.

Ah ok of those I own two lol.
Any issues with the clutch in GT
(miss shifts/neutral selection) seems to be related to GT specifically. F1 championship was patched I believe to work with a wheel and FF is a centre spring effect rather than grip/traction based.

Haven't played either for awhile so I may be out if the loop with patches etc. GT also has/had straight line wheel wobble too.

Overall the G27 is a good wheel but its only as good as the signals sent to it, same as any other wheel.

Enjoy your product.

Yes gt5 has a lot of missed shifts due to clutch. I just don't use it from the start. F1 is really good if you change wheel lock to 360. NASCAR is great with g27 if you find the right settings.

The main problem with GT5 is when you give only a little push to the throttle, it won't change gear. But otherwise it works very well. ;)

I never use a wheel and I order a G27 but I really begin to regret because G25 seems to be slightly superior overall (dead zone, reliability, sequential) for lower price.

And I have the feeling that gear and clutch are useless in GT5 because I heard clutch is not well reproduced in GT and a lot of cars are supposed to have automatic gearbox or only paddles shifters, meaning DFGT would be enough.

It's more even true knowing I wanted a wheel 40% for GT5, 40% for F1 2012 (who doesn't need clutch) and 20% for RBR (and rallyes seem to use sequential gearbox, and only G25 and DFGT have it). :indiff:

G27 is just as reliable as G25 was and also has the quieter gearing, pedal stagger and adjustability, more wheel buttons, better paddle shifter feel and reliability, WAY better H shifter feel and reliability and no noticeable difference in the dead zone, at least to me.

The shifter and clutch work fine in GT5, they just require a degree of precision timing that alot of people find frustrating.

Finally, yeah, you do lose the sequential, which was a necessary move to improve the H shifter, but there are lots of options to add it back in, like a DSD shifter, rubber bands, G25 adapter, ect.

i own gt27, only downside is wheel is to small imo, t500 my mate bought as soon as it came out, i have played on over 40 times, i can't feel the difference in gameplay terms on ps3 at all, both have good feedback but g27 is leather which is big differnce to me its a touch pint, so very important, any wheel at t500 price bracket without a special material on wheel is just wrong, trust me guys iv'e played one after the other on same game in same car on same track, theres no major difference in the level of control or feedback, go look at reveiws, ones that review and not just big up every product they test to keep in with distributers/manufacturers etc and you will see that for the extra money it doesnt transmit into extra quality, it fills a gap in the market where people want the best and its the dearest so must bem there was gap inmarket, low level wheels, mid level =g25,g27, fanatec etc then high level price bracket was absurd and was for out and out professional simultaors, t500 is great wheel will it make your skil level better, eh no, if you try these wheels side by side and still say theres a big difference then your lying and probably a snob. no offense intended

Something tells me certain people will be offended at being called a liar.

At least on PC sims, there's a huge difference in the FFB quality between the T500 and G27. As others have stated, you can debate if it's worth the extra money, but there's a significant difference. Owned a G27 for almost 3 years before my T500.

Thanks for the reply but sadly I have already problems with my G27. :guilty::guilty::guilty:

Works well during the first hour with GT5 but when I decided to play at F1 2012, the wheel begin to be 90° offset from the wheel of the game. I'm sure the reason is FFB. FFb when I was running on gravel and vibrators was insane, and I didn't find a way to reduce FFB on theses situations.

But it's not the worst part. When I restarted a race, the wheel didn't respond at all. The pedals worked well but turning the wheel had no effect on the car.

Tried on GT5 and same problem. :nervous:

I can't believe my G27 is done two hours after I receive it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried turning it off and on again? Seriously, how could you brake a wheel that quickly? Were you violent with it?

I tried on PC and works with RBR well during the first quarter but, like on F1 2012, the wheel begin to be offset to be finally inactive.

At least, it's not a mechanical problem but maybe more about sensor (but circle sensor looks good when I open my G27 )

I now have it for a couple of months. I use it very much. Mainly drifting in GT5. No problem so far!
But I understand you haven't bought it new with warranty?

No it's an used wheel (150 €) paid on internet.

And I haven't chance at all because it's clearly a scam.

And I probably can't complain in justice.

Impressive how internet is full of stealers about sales.

I am disgusted...

Maybe your wheel is a used one already. I had the same dilemma before in my birthday that I planned to bring the wheel to the mall to have it repaired because of the uncontrollable vibration and the buzz sound. When I got there, the technician said that they can't repair it because of the parts or the complications so my parents told me that I can buy a new one for myself and so I did. And guess what, it's not that vibrating and noisy compared to my 1st year-used DFGT wheel that I got as 2nd hand. Now, it's fantastic.

It might not be as bad as you think, F1 seems to be challenging for the G27, see this thread on an other forum, some people might have a solution for your issue.

logitech-g27-settings-f1-2012-the-game.

Thanks but I play F1 2012 on PS3, not PC.

And my problem concerns more G27 itself than F1 since I discover I've the same problem with Richard Rally Burns (and this game is way smoother than F1 2012.)

It's not normal that my wheel doesn't stay in center if I accumulate little strong FFB. In F1 2012 insane FFB ok, but not RBR.

This guy just wanted to sell his end-of-life G27.:guilty:

Have you installed the latest drivers etc? ,also upload a video of your issue and send Logitech an e-mail.

I have Logitech Profiler 5.10.127 (6/14/2010) that I downloaded today on the official site. I don't think it's about that.:indiff:

I continue to believe there are more honest people than nasty guys on the internet, but it's sure that my next wheel will be waranty (and expensive).

Here the video showing my problem of calibration (it can't reach the left stop) : http://youtu.be/c8jLvdu56uk Sorry for the sound.

Btw I find on internet potential solutions and interesting links that can be helpful for me and other people having the same issue :

Hope you get some help, also use your video to contact Logitech from what I heard they are very helpful.Hopefully It's an easy fix oh and try to e-mail the previous owner see if he he had the same issue. Good luck

Thanks sems4arsenal, luck sure I need.

The crucial point in my case is my wheel restart to work well (before to fail again against FFB) just after having disassemble and assemble it while I thought I've nothing particularly changed. Does it deal with connections intensity ? The encoder wheel looked normal and well assembled :

I'm waiting for the Logitech answer now.

Because my DFGT without warranty broke after a year, it was second hand but you could feel it had only been used for about one time before I bought it, I decided to buy my G27 at the official logitech website (10 percent for activating my DFGT on the website). You have 3 years warranty then. Because: yes even better racingwheels can brake sometimes. NOt long ago Logitech has changed their 2 year warranty into a 3 year warranty.(the Netherlands, I don't know anything about other countries) So it's clear Logitech has faith in their product. But sometimes there are some bad ones. ;)
Just always buy steeringwheels or game consoles new, that saves you a lot of money.
