Just Got Kicked Out of 5 lobby's in a row

You shouldn't use open lobbys for private races anyway, use your own lounge, simple...

Thats exactly what I was thinking. Why open up a public lobby, label it private and expect people not to join. Makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever. Like you said, use your lounge for private races.

Using private rooms when hosting league races just doesn't work out, which is what I think Turbo is referring to since he's in a RX-7 TC series.

If you want a private room, why not use the private launch?
There might be a good reason, but I don't do a lot of online racing so I'm curious.

If only it were possible to have fixed host status in a private lounge, for when a couple of your racers have compatibility connection issues.
*sigh*

Unfortunately, the only way to make a room fixed host status is to do it in a pub lobby.

Also, in private lounges, anyone can access the settings controls.
I imagine that some organized race hosts have had problems with people taking liberties, and want to make sure nobody can mess with the settings.

here's the bottom line. 99% of the people online are douchbags (Spelling?). They ram, cut corners, use race cars in street rooms, trash talk when they lose... the list goes on. Don't forget the elitest pricks that think using even 1 assist is a capital crime. Sadly, some of that overflows here on GTplanet as well...I've read comment after comment and a lot of 'em are trolling and flaming rather than staying on topic to what the original post wanted to discuss.
I can't count how many times I've been kicked for using my RX-7 TC. I use it only when it's appropriate... 600 PP or more, race cars allowed. If the host is using a GTR or some other NOOB car and I smoke him, I usually get kicked after or DURING the race. Your best bet is to find a good group of guys and race with them. let the Open Lobby tab collect dust and just race privately with your friends.

It could also be as simple as the host thinking you brought a street car to a road car lobby. Some hosts are really particular when they say road car they mean road car, when they say street car, they mean street car. The Aventador is a street car. The Nisan 390 is a road car. I'm just saying....

What the hells the difference?

There isn't any difference as long the car is street legal.

I know it's funny... sounds like "same thing"...

My best guess is that a street car is like a streetcar named desire??

No, seriously...
My best guess is that a street car means just "street legal"...
Whereas "road cars" would be typical cars, perhaps tuned, but racing them somewhere in the ballpark of a road car power level.
In other words, not maxed out super cars, and not concept cars, and not street versions of cars.

I'm just guessing here by the fact that person said the Aventador is a street car and a Nissan 390 Road car is a road car.
For example, the Aventador is, I believe, a super car, with almost 700hp stock. The Nissan R390 has about 350hp stock.

Yeah, that's a big difference.
Clearly you wouldn't be racing those cars against each other.

I don't know if that's some kind of proper terminology, or just some terminology that developed for pub lobby room names to differentiate...

I only kick people if I don't know them, and they enter the track in something with total disregard for what the room is about. If the title of the room is "RX-7 TC PRIVATE", you should know that:

1) It's a private room, why did you enter?
2) If you enter the track in anything other than an RX-7 TC....goodbye.

Why go to a public lobby and create a private room? lol.. thats why you have the private lounge feature.. that way randoms can't enter.

I think most people in these lobbies would rather see an Aventador rather than an R390, since the latter comes with Le Mans and FGT levels of downforce.

I did ask earlier in a lobby whether the Amuse Street Version S2000 would be allowed, and I had at least 6 people tell me it's not a road car, even though it's basically a stock S2000 with an exhaust. The vehicle description even mentions around 3 times how it is a road car with full interior, air conditioning etc and designed for comfortable city driving. A couple of those people said it comes with downforce and is a GT car, so I'm guessing they were thinking of the S2000 GT1. The Amuse S2000 comes with no downforce and cannot even be fitted with a wing, and is also 28pp below the room's regulations (522/550pp) even when maxed it out.

I always ask whether tuner cars like the one above are allowed, some rooms allow them and some don't. I usually prefer tuner versions as I'm pants at tuning cars myself. Also, makes a change from seeing 9 BMW GTR's every race.

That question has already been answered earlier in the thread:

It's all about racing cars that are similar together. :boggled:

What's the mystery here?

Who wants to race a kei car against a saloon car?

If it's just about picking the fastest car, well just open all the restrictions & just race the x2010 with racing softs already.

People want to race a variety of cars, but within competitive levels with cars that go together.

I think level of maturity online , is severely inversely proportional to the pp level. 505pp is tolerable for me. But I would definitely host my own games for 600pp or higher, and give people a chance! if they can prove themselves, you can earn their respect, and grow a small community. Name calling will get you nowhere, and don't be too quick to judge an incident. Accidents will also happen.

I usually host on weekends, early mornings, and call my game 'Sunrise at Nur' , timechange as title says.

So true. I rarely venture into rooms higher than 550 these days because it's rare to find anyone that can control a car higher than that, and even 550 is a stretch for most online drivers. Not that 450-500 is a picnic either, but the speeds are slower so the "accidents" are a little easier to predict with things happening at a more relaxed pace.

Is there an achievement for this?

Oh wonderful! Thank you very much for clearing that up, I guess my intelligence just increased by 10%.

You really are an elite expert within these here forums.

No problem "m8". ;)

Just saying is all. Lots of reasons people use pub lobbies. No reason to tell them not to! :)

I mainly only do shuffle racing in pub lobbies.
But it brings to mind that. Being in a shuffle lobby, and we're at 360pp shuffle base... and people are sliding off the track... One guy's playing bumper cars, burning out of every corner he manages to get through, sliding into the sand from missing break points. Then it's always that guy it seems who says, "raise the PP! raise the PP!" The host asks, "What PP?" And that guy, who can't keep a 360pp shuffle car on a big wide track & make braking in time, says, "500PP please! these cars are boring!"

They think you lag their room so they kick you, that STUPID. I have been tried too.

My Shuffle experience has been mostly negative. I've found most of the guys can't drive on harder tires and most of the lobbies use a fast start, meaning no chance qualify and at least get out in front of some of the chaos. Combine that with completely random luck in getting a car that has at least decent handling and a decent gearbox and it makes for not so much fun for me. And it's not about winning, I just like to race hard and fair, and I don't find much of that in shuffle lobbies. I find the PP system creates the potential for far more equal racing and I say potential meaning if some of the guys can tune and drive well, there is some very close racing.

There is no qualifying in shuffle racing. It is RGO only. Always.

That's the whole point of shuffle racing.

Indeed, the shuffle ratio setting can insure that the person who wins the previous race will wind up in the back of the starting grid with a slower car.

That's the point of shuffle racing, to mix things up, and give random people with random experience & speed, the chance for close racing together, without having to prepare cars or whatnot - you can just jump right in.

I have found a great many good clean shuffle rooms. But as in all pub lobbies, there's always one goofball out back who can't keep their car on the track no matter how good it is.
And there's occasionally a guy who has to be kicked.

There's a guy with the PSN name, Destinkeys who runs pretty clean shuffle lobbies.

I really enjoy getting difficult cars and seeing how well I can do with some bummer of a car. LOL Or get a good car, and actually have a chance against some of the guys who do this every night & are super fast in whatever shuffle car they get!!
Or to give some other guy a chance who's racing while he has a 5 year old screaming in his ear, to get a good car & come out ahead for once.

It's certainly NOT a place to find "fair" racing in the sense that it's a battle of who can choose & tune the best car for the PP and then race it well.
It's a challenge to deal with what you're given and do the best you can with what you're handed.

Certainly not everyone's cup of tea.
But I think it was a brilliant idea for the game.
I just wish it was a little more adjustable.
(Mostly I wish you could choose not to have any of those annoying 4wds come up.)
