Including sourcing all the extra parts that using any RWD Nissan motor wouldn't require? Hell even a VG30DETT is a very simple swap for these things if you want to have some real fun.![]()

Besides, if you're supposing this swap can be done in a day by "backyard mechanics", how quick do you reckon they can do an SR20DET swap considering the engine slots right in on the stock engine mounts and the only "difficult" part of the process is the wiring?
And you get a better engine with much more potential and superior aftermarket as a result. It's a win-win!

And if he did, why would he bother doing it on an older less rigid Chassis like an S110 when he could just buy a 240SX and buy a car that has the engine he wants? For MT, yes, but I don't know how to drive stick, sadly. The AT still allows for full control on gears, however, and improves gas mileage.Can you get the Mazda6 with a V6 and an MT, under budget?

I've heard that the 2014-15 Mazda6 only uses a costly synthetic oil.I really love the way the Optima looks, and although I've never driven one, I heard good things about its driving dynamics too.
The Mazda6 is a good car aswell, but the one thing that concerns me is the Skyactiv engines, its relatively recent technology (they started making them in 2010 i think?) and in order to be so fuel efficient they use a very high compression ratio (14:1 in the Mazda6 compared to 10:1 or less in the majority of other cars). And basically no one knows if this technology will be reliable in the long term yet, its certainly more risky then taking a small I4 engine and sticking a Turbo on it like Kia has done with the Optima.
Another car you could consider is the Ford Fusion. Its a similar type of car to the Mazda6, designed in Europe so it looks and drives great and has a proven and reliable powertrain.
