And more, if i'm not wrong it is in this month's Online Used Car Dealership right?
Talk about paying attention...
And there is the Silvia S15, nice car, and usualy pretty too...

Ignore my ricing of the car, i thought the wheels were to look like this:

Nissan_s15.jpg

See, no huge gaps between the wheel top and the wheel arc.
In GT5 is like the Silvia is a car made from other car's chassis, and the inside view is very weird too, like i am driving a van or truck, too high camera.
I get the feel every time i'm going to enter a curve with it, i'm going to do barrel rolls...

About the Silvia. I went to the game, bought a Nissan Silvia. Took this picture. Exported to the XMB. Then copied it into an USB pendrive. And uploaded it to finally put it here...

Looks the same as your real picture. Maybe front tyres are a little bit "inside" but almost the same. Not as you said like "this car was made in other car´s chassis". The cars have different sizes and the "chassis" are different i believe.

By the way, nice catch with the Jaguar. I never noticed that. PD needs to work a little bit more with standards or just forget about it.

Even in your shot, i still think the wheels are too much inside the car.
To me the distance between wheels on the same axle in this car is simply wrong, it really bothers me aesthetically talking.

And i think that if we could see the wheels distance in game (like the model virtual measurings) it would be perfect when compared to the real car, as they normally recreate those cars to games from blue-sheets and all the complex data, but in the game, just looks wrong.

Don't know if is a body scaling problem or whatever, just pointed out.

If only gt5 was super realistic! Another complaint thread? Really after 1.5 years? Come on. It is a game and it has some (serious) faults. But this is just nitpicking.

+1, but nice catch with the Jag

+1:tup: And he joined just to give us his 2 cents. Thank you for enlightening my day.:banghead:

PD put that Jag glitch in to see if people still watch replays :) (they put a lot of effort to them)

It's the 'track width' that I think is too little, both for the front and back axles. (Also look at the rear axle of the 8C and the front axle of the '10 Camaro.)

Also noticable next to the real car is that the tyre sidewall does not 'bulge' outwards enough and width seems too narrow. Wheels/rims appear to have correct diameter and offset though.

That said, the S15's dash has a working digital odometer, clock and analog boost gauge. Thus I think the model was created later in the development cycle but was rushed a little causing the narrow 'track width' visible with the exterior.

(A suggestion for the community/mods, should there be a thread on visual flaws for all the cars? After all there is a thread for incorrect specifications.)

I think that nailed the origin of the problem hehe, at least is a very good guess.

And for all those haters who commented "OMG WHY HE DID NOT SEARCH THE FORUM" or "OMG HE JUST JOINED TO COMPLAIN", read the topic title next time, and suggestion, when you see the word "complain" in it, just do not click the link =]

If only he had searched the forum for similar threads, he wouldn't have had to post it.
Oh, hey, if you noticed, the post is not JUST about the jaguar... hum, there's another car observation... hum, something about an S15... hum, never saw it right?
It was like: enter the thread > see a picture of the jaguar bug > assume the WHOLE thread is about jag bug > make a reply saying how much n00b the original poster is.

Y u mad at me?

Never said the game was bad or unfinished, love it the way it is, i have all the DLCs showing that i support PD to continue to develop the game and make it better, little by little.

I wanted to see if people noticed it and had the same opinion as me, that's all.

So next time, read the topic title, and don't get all trolling on the new guy.

Mate, I never called you a n00b or anything similar. My post was a general complaint about people posting similar threads about their complaints.

Why do people have to treat other members like **** when it's really not called for?

Adding wheels can cause this.

Sounds like a first world problem to me.

i'm sure you'll get over it
lol that's funny (Van Der Beek), but he wasn't complaining. He was pointing out a flaw.

Because group hugs are against the AUP.

Gt has always had flaws, why should 5 be different? Kinda endearing, at least to me.

Rollbar on Toyota 7 and Chaparral 2J is too low, hence the driver's head sticks out rendering the rollbar useless.

I just noticed that the XJ220 when is driven by the AI, don't have that helmet/roof bug.
So it must be player related.

Nice observation!

We need a fix for that in the upcoming patch ... if ever 1 is coming at all. If there is a problem it needs to be resolved. 💡

I've noticed the incorrect track width on the s15 Silvia before, I think it's been like that since GT3, if not earlier. It's the reason I never use that car, it's just wrong.

I used it a lot in GT2, at that time it was fine, but as i've read somewhere, PD started to re-model all the cars when they got from PS1 to PS2 (GT3), and that sounds completely logical, as the polygon count on cars just jumped a lot because of the hardware transition.

So if it is wrong in GT3 too, it must be an issue when they re-modeled for the newer generation, and never really paid attention to that specific car.
And as another_jakhole commented, when changing the wheels to a custom model in GT Auto, the problem become more prominent.

Yeah I think it was the similar in GT3, when you changed the wheels it looked worse. Amazing they still do some things the same as they did in GT3.
