Hi I have been playing GT for my whole life and I cant really find clean drivers online. Everyone is hitting me like a baby when I try to cleanly overtake.

So, this is simple, if you are a clean driver, be sure to add me: LorD-ProtectoR99

Looking forward to a race :gtpflag:

Hi ,

Are you playing with a wheel or a ds3 ? I'm looking for clean (wheel only) drivers too ! Some People that understand that you dont win the whole race in the first corner .
I'll send you an FR later .

Greetings

Just some advice here for you. I wouldn't limit yourself to just playing with wheel users. I personally know a slew of people that use the DS3 and are very fast and clean drivers. Don't automatically relate someone who uses a DS3 to be slow and dirty. I compete in the WRS with 3-4 people that use the DS3 and they are very fast and clean. One of them even won the WRS TT event last week. So, all I'm saying here is you are missing out on some great drivers by just limiting yourself to playing with wheel users. 👍

Yes I do have a wheel, G25 and I dont care about winning either.

Both of you are free to send me a FR on PSN (or send me a message if it's full, I'll make some space and add you back 👍 ) to do some racing :) .

I totally agree. I use my wheel about half of the time when I'm playing online. Sometimes it's just more convenient to use the DS3. With that being said, I don't become Mr. Hyde when I'm working the ole' sticks. My driving habits are the same whether regardless of the input. I'm sure that's true for some other users as well.

I did not say that ds3 users are slow , but its a weird feeling to know that somebody relaxing in the bed for example , and i'm in my sim rig with the gloves on and the seatbelt fasten :-)

I only think wheel and espacially rig users take this whole sim racing more serious !

And also i dont like it when you watch a replay or spectate an online race , you see the difference between wheel and ds3 users on the wheels .

great im gonna send it tonight

and yes DS3 users can be good as well as wheel users.

Am I the only one who's been having problems with GT5 servers? I find that I cannot connect to any of my friends not to mention having a tedious time trying to connect with Lord to give him a couple of races. Surely something must be going on with their servers?

Wow, not to be rude, but you have a lot to learn. Like I said, I know a lot of DS3 users and they will beg to differ with your philosophy here. Just because someone doesn't go full out like you do, doesn't mean they don't take what they do serious. Maybe they can't afford a wheel/rig, or maybe they simply don't have the room for an elaborate setup. Ever thought about that? Don't be so quick to judge here.

Your reasoning in your first paragraph doesn't make any sense to me either. I could care less if my competiters are laying on their couch with a DS3 or sitting in their big elaborate rig with gloves, a helmet, and seat belted in, just doesn't make a difference to me. I don't even think about it to be honest.

In the end, its your choice I guess but your reasoning is just really flawed and you fail to take other things into consideration as far as DS3 users go. I can give names of a bunch of DS3 users and If I didn't tell you any different, you wouldn't even know they were using a DS3 by racing with them. ;)

EDIT: Just had a look at your rig and it is quite impressive. Good job on it.👍 But remember, the rig doesn't make the driver. ;)

This 👍 . That rig is amazing, but to be completely honest with ourselves, it's pure eye candy. If you have a wheel, all you need is a seat and a wheel/pedal position that suits you to be competitive. If you don't have a wheel, all you need is a sofa and a TV  .

To those who like minimalist stuff, you might like my rig. Check it out in my sig but it has changed a little since then :) .

Well said. I too have came across guys using a DS3 that were just as/if not more cleanly competitive than guys on a wheel.

In my opinion, anything past a good wheel and seat is just over kill. You do not need gloves, a helmet and a seatbelt to be good at a video game. It's just not needed. Although if you want to be as immersed as possible I'm sure it helps ;)

With that being said, where can I find a picture of this rig?

Also, clean player here. Feel free to FR me.

PSN - jared_93

I host clean shuffle rooms 2-5 nights a week as well so it can be added to your repertoire of things to do as far as GT5 goes if you'd like :)

Go to his public profile and on the left he has a photo album with pics of his rig in it.

Also, I know people that use gloves, shoes, ect. when playing but never a seatbelt.:odd: I mean, I'm all for immersion, but a seatbelt. Nothing against the OP, but just the thought of strapping yourself in to play a game just sounds funny to me. Buckle up for safety I guess.:lol:

You could send me FR, I know people hardly ever race clean anymore, Your just like me, I've also been playing GT my whole life, it seems people rarely play GT as it is supposed to be played, nearly everyone plays it like Need for speed.

@cargo Rat ,

I dont know why you are so Offensive , i Never said that ds3 users are slower or something !
I think that 90%of the ds3 users in this forums are faster than me .
I Never said i'm faster than anyone , I just wanted to tell the way I would like to play !
Yeah i know The seatbelt is a bit childish and my sim racing socks maybe too and yes nothing on my rig makes me faster !
I've been playing GT since the first one and since GT 5 me and 3 Friends startet a but of a rig challenge , were all now close to 30years old and now we can separate The important hobbies from the "normal "
I had some great clean races in the lo pp shuffle Club and the golfIV RM League and there were scary fast ds3 users .

To come to an end :

-I dont want to argue
-i'm not fast
-you dont know me , so dont judge me cause i Tell you the way I want to play !
- i'm tired to look after a decent lobby for hours !
-i didnt want to offend someone !

I just want to have clean races , but most of the time i get hybrids from Mario kart , Destruction Derby and burnout .

Cheers

I drive as clean as i can. And if i do hit someone, i make sure i keep off the power to negate any advangage it would have given me and then some. I really dislike those bumpercar guys.

So just add me if you like coenraadnoorloos is my psn name.

I have build a rig in the attic with DFGT.
And have my console in the livingroom with a lovely orange DS3.

So what category do I fit in?

I do what I do, that is the good part of living in a part of the world where it's free to make own decissions 👍

Not gonna say your wrong, but Dirty races can be quite fun.
When I play with a bunch of good friends, we do some clean and some crash&bash (dirty) races....all fun!

I race as clean as I can, might send you an add. In the meantime, check out the link in my sig. Also, I have a black Playseat Evolution with a G25 Racing Wheel. :D
