Q/ Is Kaido Battle 2 compatible with GT Force Pro?

As KB2 is released today, I'm just wondering whether to go down the shops and make a purchase. Sure, it looks good, but I think I would only get it if it is compatible with my Logitech GT Force Pro.

Anyone out there know whether it is?

What do you exactly mean 'compatible' ??

I've never seen PS2 racing games that are not compatible with GT Force Pro.

Just so we're all clear, the Logicool GT Force Pro is the Japanese name for the Logitech Driving Force Pro in the US (the black one with the stick shift). The Logitech Driving Force is black/blue with paddle shifters and the pad and buttons at the top of the wheel. Finally, the GT Force is the first racing wheel made by Logitech/Logicool (released with GT3) and is blue/black with only four blue buttons.

The GT Force (Japanese or US) is the only wheel that I am aware of that is universally compatible with racing games-- most Japanese games use the GT Force (as the Driving Force doesn't seem to have been produced in Japan). The Driving Force is compatible with some games such as GT3, Kaido Battle and Automodellista, but is incompatible with certain older games (such as TXR Zero). I'm not sure if the new Logitech Driving Force Pro is compatible with anything other than GT4: Prologue as of yet. Since it was produced in both US and Japan, it will probably be supported by a lot of games in the future.

Both Kaido Battle games list the GT Force as the compatible racing wheel on their websites. Driving Force also works with KB, but only if there is a regular dualshock PS2 controller plugged in at the same time.

Got the game now, and the GT Force Pro works OK, but no way near as well as I expected. This game is beautifully presented (check out the intro.), but so far I'm not very impressed with the gameplay. Give it time I guess...

I've been playing it for couple of days now. I am very impressed with this game.

Genki did exellent job in mixing arcade + simulation elements of physics.

Definately, one of the best racing games I've played.

Really? Granted, I haven't played it much, but I don't think it's realistic at all. Especially after the GT series, and GT4 Prologue just raises the bar again. I know that this game isn't about realism anyway. I guess my skills are bad, I need more practise :)

PS If you're using GT Force Pro, did you have any issues with the force feedback and not being able to use the shifter?

EDIT: Oops! Just saw that you're not. Still, if anyone else has :)

Easy huh? :)

Yeah, thanks. Great tip!

Inital D Special Stage is the only one game I've encountered problem with my GT Force Pro. Gear shift doesn't work. I had to use paddle for shifting.

 You want to talk about realism in video games ?

GT series is FAR from being realsitic. Period. I've yet seen any racing games which I'd say 'realistic' on consoles.

You're probably confused between fun factor, and realism. More real doesn't necessarily mean more fun.

I have to agree with chaser-- GT4 is on an entirely different level from GT3 or any of the other GTs. Sure it's not real life, but it's quite good for a video game.

uh so you mean the shift stick doesnt work for bk2 or it doesnt work for initial d? i hope to god that the stick works on the force pro for this game
