The developer notes that Automodelista and ChoroQ are major inspirations for this game.

I, for one, am especially looking forward to this. This is the first appearance of the Daihatsu Midget II in any racing game in the past 10 years (AFAIK - the last 'official' inclusion I know of is GT6 in 2013), which by itself is somewhat noteworthy IMHO.

I've been very loosely following this whenever it pops up, another game requiring patience to see more. Love a game that isn't taking itself too seriously, or trying too hard.

Didn't know they said that outright, the inspirations are clear, those 2 games are immediately what came to mind when I saw a trailer. Really enjoyed them in childhood.
