This will count as a double signup as my long time kart teammate Carnby doesn't have a GTP account.
WilliamsRCN92/W1NNER101-No GTP/Carnby7
2 medium length races
8 race weekends (including 2 "challenge" events)
bi-weekly
Racing Kart 125 (no SPL)

I'd honestly like longer courses. Suzuka/Spa/Le Mans/Grand Valley are all nice for karting.

GTP/PSN: alefin / alefin
Type: Championship
Format: 1 qualifying session (10 minutes or so), 1 long race (at least 1 hour)
Number of races: 5
Interval: Weekly (Saturday)
Kart: 100 cc
Tuning: Not allowed

Hey man, was thinking about doing a kart series, so I'm glad someone else is instead :P
Would this be heavy damage? Tuning prohibited? "Very Fast" fuel consumption/tire wear? Just a thought lol

Thanks for setting this up!

no problem
the damage will be off as spinning is costly enough tire wear and fuel consumption will be normal. however looking at the track lengths if we have a longer race on some harder tracks fuel or tyre may be needed.
most kart races i have been to don't run long enough to worry about fuel or tyres.
however if people are interested we could do a longer race at the end

Need to now weekend or weekday?
i have added a voting option for tuning and when it would occur

Saturdays, 100cc (Jr. Preferred,), damage off (hurts my arms,) short races (25 minutes, it hurts my arms/back)

So, I'd run it this way:

-Qualifying opens at 5 PM my local time
-Race 1 lasts 30 minutes, starts 10 minutes after 5 PM
-Race 2 , lasts 30 minutes, starts 10 minutes after Race 1 ends (for me to stretch)

Sorry, if it seems like I'm complaining, but it's just because my wheel makes it uncomfortable. If need be, I could simply suffer through.

Here's my liking

1.Type of series
-Champion ship

2.format of races
2.1.Quali race
-collision off -> means no draft
-race event is set to 2-3 laps and result will be grid order for race #1

2.2.Races
-followed by two races about 35-45 min (2nd reverse grid)
-tire/fuel consumption: fast/very fast
-one pitstop mandatory (consumption so that you have to go pitstop or you don't get finish line)
-weather change (even one light wet race)/ day & night shifts
-start: manual rolling start

2.3.Setting
-damage light
-splitstream: weak
-visual damaged off
-all aids off
-tire: sport soft

3.number of race weekends
-8

4.race weekend interval
-weekly

5.race day
-not really matter
-time of day is more important: i'm in GMT +3 so best time for me is 19.00-21.00 GMT

6.the kart type
-main kart definitely 125cc (including SPL)
-if Kart Space 1/2 there Jr's
-100cc could be use in some tracks

7.tuning
-definitely

I would like to use only one kart type. I personally would go for the 125cc and use different colours for each racer in order to make it all easier.

Edit: I agree with Jammy14 in the rest of options. If this championship finally goes on, I'd like to enter. My PSN is GSG_91_F1.

as it looking like we will run this could you all go and test some medium length tracks which are ideally no more than 2 minutes in length it can be slightly over if it is a good track.
please use a 125 with a tuned transmission post your track and any recommendations
room settings should be as followed
grip set to real
tyre and fuel set to normal ban all aids and use sports softs this is just to get an idea
i will then test them myself and may change room settings to create a more stimulating race

Course maker tracks are also valid?
If so, I might have a good track but my PS3 is until september offline

Here's my track list:

London, reverse
Tsukuba
Eigar Nordwand Short track, reverse
Autumn Ring, reverse
Cote d'Azur
Circuito de Madrid (both, orginal & reverse)
Twin Ring Motegi; East Cource or Road Course
Rome, reverse
Deep Forest Raceway, reverse
Laguna Seca
Trail Mountain, reverse
Grand Valley Speedway (orginal & reverse)
NUrbugring GP/F
Suzuka Circuit
Spa
Nurburgring; Nordschleife, Type V or 24h

NASCAR racing: Twin Ring Motegi Super speedway

I add Kart Space I and I would remove Nordschleife and Grand Valley

i afraid not as you would have an unfair advantage

i have good idea but i want you guys to pick a suitable tracks that encourage close racing

This was my original "IKA" Schedule, but this had all three double points "UKC" events on non-custom tracks. I suggest only using two out of the three.

Monaco
Indianapolis Road Course & Superspeedway
Suzuka GP
Monza Wet
Le Mans 2009 Night
Nurburgring 24h Night
Trial Mountain

Now, take into account that this was 2 years ago and only the PDI 100 was in the game, and therefore, the night tracks were a challenge. Now, I suggest this for a series...

Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
Indianapolis Road Course
Suzuka Wet
Monaco
Special Stage Route 5
Nurburgring 24h Night
Trial Mountain
Grand Valley

In that order.

I have the lap times for many tracks with a 125 SPL and different transmissions for every track:

London reverse: 1:01:134 150km/h max. The rumble strips were so high my kart flew sometimes. Its fun but dangerous if many cars.

Tsukuba: 1:03:385 160km/h max. I personally like this track for karts

Eiger reverse: 1:15:862 160km/h max. The turn after the bridge is very dangerous but I love this track

Autumn ring reverse: 1:26:486 160 max. No comments here

Monaco: 1:58:201 160 max. Very hard. Could be the final race

Madrid: 1:44:101 160 max. Better normal than reverse I think

Roma: 1:25:056 170 max. Fast as monza :dopey:

Deep Forest reverse: 1:28:957 170 max. Also fast but too many bumps.

Laguna Seca: 1:35:738 170 max. Loved it. Its a must.

Trial mountain reverse: 1:42:687 170 max. Beware the flip chicane and the bumps

Edit: times were made assuming I'm not a pro and the best one in 3 clean laps

thank you i will test aswell

Time? I don't know. Maybe weekly or bi-weekly. I'm at GMT +1(spain)

Racing karts on big tracks sound fun. That's what I'm doing in real life! We have 1 series out here that is racing laguna seca, Sonoma, and now I can say willow springs since GT6 is adding it to its track list. This series is trying to race cots next year, but I doubt ill make that long trip. California is the best state to kart in we have so many tracks here, like over 33 tracks just in this state and Arizona and Nevada right next door has tracks and events too. I'm hoping this series helps my Irl karting skills out and if we race laguna seca them I can use that experience for my February kart race out there!

Saturday is pretty open for me, so any time between this range works best for me.

2PM GMT to 1AM GMT.

What if Willfred sets a day and an hour for every race, so everyone can see if it fits or if the race must be delayed

Weekends are terrible for me, but I'm willing to do Saturdays. Nothing earlier than 19:00 GMT and later than 0:00 GMT.
