Hey kinigitt, how long did it take for you to beat the game? Are there difficulty settings?

it tooke me about 6 and a half hours, give or take. I was taking my time too.

I didn't see any options for difficulty levels.

This is pretty funny. My EB store had two copies and the sales clerk told me I was stupid for buying one. "A ball that things stick to? Ok that's stupid"

The whole time I'm thinking, "yeah well you work in a video game store and I am a system administrator. It is apparent to me who the better decision maker is in this pair."

The game is cool - I dig it. Can hardly wait to get back to it and play some more.

According to my room mate, this is the number one selling game at EB Games right now. I find that surprising as it's so damn hard to find. Perhaps they're selling a lot of them online.

Oh, and I finished it last night. Wwwweeeeeee. Now I'm going back around and improving my status on all the levels and finding more secrets and stuff. I didn't know you could find the other characters while making stars, but last night I scooped up the orange kid with the "oh so square head, perfect cube"

I got the "Eternal #3" last night. It was pretty danged-ole cool it was. The goal on the Moon is 300m, but 800m gets you 'Eternal #3". Before you get 300m you're picking up small islands. Around 500m you're picking up big islands. 600, 700 ... 750 ... somewhere in there you start getting entire big islands. I picked up the volcano. You also start getting clouds and entire weather systems like hurricans and tornados. I think there's a tsunami or something. I picked up everything that I could before time ran out and was just drifting around the bowl shaped map. Would be cool if it were on a globe.

People here and in other threads have asked about the game music - how to get it to their computer and such.

"Moon Memorial (movies, sounds, music, endings, etc.) Complete the Make the Moon stage."

When you complete the Moon stage you get the "O" menu option at Earth. Then "R1" will take you to the soundtrack list where you can play any song. Then just hook up the audio out of your PS2 to a recording device (your computer) and dump to a sound recorder.

I may do this later.

please upload it and host it. pretty please?

Eh, not doing it right now, but maybe later. You should just unlock the music selection and do it yourself (: I've got my PS2 running through my 600watt Yamaha reciever, so I can rock out with some Katamari jams.

Yeah, if I wasn't so goddamn lazy I would record em through my PC. but well, that's just not convenient.

I'll just keep looking around the net for soundtracks... or something.

That's not a bad idea. After reviewing them, though, I found there are few that I would listen to outside of the game. Keep in mind they are designed as "game music" and probably won't sound good unless your mind is focused intently on something that is fast paced and very attention hungry. The music just presents a nice aura around the intense motion.

So supposedly there's a part two en route. Should be available in the coming months. New areas and items to roll around and pick up. Sounds cool to me!

the executives at Namco are my kind of people!

Well, sequels can kill the name too. So they better do a good job. Then put it on the shelf for a year or two before they even think of developing another one.

I recently aquired this game..... I was informed about it some time ago, but thought.....eh. Now I wonder how I lived without it. All I can say is the developers must have had some good drugs... I mean, honestly. Great music to. :)

I *cough*acquired*cough* the soundtrack about 2 months ago. Pretty cool. 👍

If I had web space I'd upload it for you guys, but I don't. :(

this thread planted the seed and i researched it and read a bunch of reviews. I couldn't resist it anymore. I had heard about this a while ago but i didn't pay much attention till i read this thread.

Well I'm just saying that their claims of "sometime in 2005" is pretty useless information. Oh well, it's the video game industry.
