I wanted these for Mr T-Bag, but they don't come in 17"
dwarf-11_series_zps1f1b92f5.jpg

They do come in 15" though, they would look cool as on a mondeo,

I can't buy a set of those with £130 . Besides, they're too small. Current wheels are 18" and stock ones are 16". They look good though - maybe they could go on whichever car I decide to get when I'm 17. :p

I want them in 17" but from the 8 companies that make them the largest they do is 15" What sucks most is that I can get them customised to how I wanted them for this current car, the old car, the car before that, and the car before that, my old RS2000 Cosworth escort could've had these in 13" but that's going back nearly 7 years now,

my old RS2000 Cosworth escort

Pics or it didn't happen.

I would love some new wheels for Bruiser though. His current ones are old now... I still want black though. Maybe black with the chrome lip or something. But I think I'll need to save up a bit more if I want new wheels. :dopey:

I had pic's of all my car's, but as in the movies my former ex GF burned all my 🤬 when I caught her cheating on me, like I'm not suppose to go home after working 12 hours, but that's another story for a snicker's advert,

Just some useless information here about myself,
I have owned 1 of every model Ford Falcon made up to this year, that's a new build car every 3 years since 1963, That's around 17 car's right there,
I have legally owned more then 120 car's, ( meaning that according to government records I used said cars on the road)
add another 30 something to that list for cars that were not legal ( not stolen!, government didn't require my information as the car was used as either a scrub basher, wrecking for parts or a race/ drag car)
only 9 cars of that list were not Fords, ( I tried owning Holden's for a while, but I enjoyed driving too much to want to push my car everywhere, Also had a Daihatsu Charade, Mazda jelly Bean and a Morris minor, NO DIESEL'S!)
Out of all the car's I've used on the road there was only one I crashed and didn't get more money back on it then I paid for and or including money invested into it,

why havent you gone full tint on all the windows?
and the subs did look hideous, esp. when someone who doesnt know what theyre doing is messig with music, i just hope you were hopingto get as much dB (SPL) out of that crap rather than actually LISTEN to music. i have DLS Nobelium 8.2" components in the front, mid-range in the door with custom built boxes, it just sounds so much nicer (goingd for 100% SQ). tweeters up where the mirrors are.
job was done by a guy who has won Gold in the local SQ/SPL cups, also in the Baltic Cups and also in Russia.
The line to get him to install audio for You is usually about a month, cause the dude definitely likes to take his time.
I had him install my Nobelium 8" mid-range which he had to build custom boxes for, it looks like Nissan himself had planted that box into the door, i mean the way the speaker comes at You as You close the door and when You completely open it, it plays like it would be a solist for Placebo :p LOVE the sound of the midrange, also love the tweeters but ive heard them before already so i knew what to expect and what can You expect from a Swedish company that makes ONLY Car and Home audio for the Real SQ Lover at a price that is not completely up there in which case we'd have to start talking names that mean NOTHING to 99.7% to people on this forum, esp. where car audio is concerned. Of course You can be a sheep and repeat what You heard someone else say to someone else about something You didnt quite understand and spread that **** around but, oh man oh man, it makes You look like a real camelstwat. :D
also built a small box like thing for the tweeter which he called me up to listen where do i prefer the tweeter to be, as in my old car (Honda Legend coupe '91) right where the mirrors are or do i want them inside the door sticking out "watching me". after some thought and some songs (lil wayne lollipop of course 100x times like, thats that SOUND QUALITY gold...no, for real i listened to some Metallica (1991) and Dire Straits. And decided to go for the mirror deal where a very daft person might think this car is from 1960 and you have to mess with the mirrors with the knobs...and those be the knobs, like!! id love to find one stupid **** somewhere in the countryside over where i live :P just for the peace of fun.
the compos are hooked to a Nakamichi

I can't entirely understand that huge block of text, but that Mondeo is nice 👍

why havent you gone full tint on all the windows?

Because full tint on all the windows is illegal here in the UK. I am however wanting to tint the rear windows slightly.

As for the rest of your post... you lost me. :odd:

I has update!

Yesterday we fitted the new catalytic converter as the old one was... well, it wasn't anything. It had completely collapsed and disintergrated and was causing poor ol' Bruiser to sound awful. After accidentally putting the cat on 180 degrees the wrong way, we fitted it and it works a treat. The annoying vibration/rattle is a lot quieter now and you can barely hear it unless you're listening for it. The exhaust still seems to whistle a bit, almost like a turbo, except the car doesn't have a turbo... unless it somehow grew one.

Bruiser also seems to have stopped smoking, the smell of burning oil has gone away anyway. He runs a lot smoother as well, and seems easier to start up. We'll see how things go!

I didn't take many photos, so have this photo of Bruiser eating my dad instead.

Talking to myself once again, but here goes anyways.

I got new arches and wheels!

...Not really.

A little crappy edit I did earlier tonight. Thoughts? Personally, I'm in love and really want to do this at some point.

Nice Mondeo 👍 It's a shame Ford doesn't make these in the US.

It looks cool, but those arches on a front wheel drive car? They're as bad as stickers on a ricey Civic. It would be much better with a very subtly stanced look using the stock wings, and simple wheels. Like these.

+1

Like others said, don't.
I would personally prefer something like this
Ford-mondeo-st-tdci-7070.jpg

EDIT: You could probably start by lowering if it hasn't already been done and painting the chrome in the grill to match the body color, then move on to other things like the bumper and headlights. I think it would look nice, plus the wheels posted by beeblebrox

Just to show how a Mondeo with standard 'steelies' looks like. It's not as attractive as the standard ST220 wheels but it will do for the winter. It's almost time to change back to the 18' ST220 wheels.

Thanks for the feedback guys! So this thread is open to the public. :p

If I told you I was also going to convert to RWD and slap a Sierra RS Cosworth engine in, then would it seem like a good idea?

Obviously I wouldn't want to do all cosmetics like that without adding to the performance also. I'm stupid, but I'm not that stupid :sly:. I would really like those wheels at least, maybe not deep dish or anything but black and chrome. The current wheels are about 7 or 8 years old now and one has been scratched badly half way around the rim by some ignorant <naughtyword> who was putting another tyre on. Plus, he didn't put a rotational tyre on like the rest are, and something tells me that could possibly be illegal? It was a front tyre he replaced, so last week my dad and I had to swap the front wheels to the back.

However, that edit was just a little fun, I was curious as to what Bruiser would look like. I'm not sure what I'll be able to do with him anymore as one minute my dad tells me he's going to keep it for me to work on when I go to college, the next minute he wants to sell it. But with used car prices these days, he'll barely get anything for it.

Nope, don't change the engine. I don't know if your parent's Mondeo is a diesel or a petrol. If it's a diesel, you probably have to change the electronics and the car's computer as well.
The Cosworth engine probably doesn't fit inthe engine bay.

You're (your parents) are better off buying a second hand ST220 or a real second hand Sierra/Escort Cosworth.

I think a V8 swap is in order. Bring on the Merc-beater!

Haha, I wish!

The car is a petrol, but I'm not going to put a Cosworth engine in until I know we have the money, tools, time etc., because obviously fitting it isn't going to be an overnight thing. We may still however have to change the engine, but just for another Mondeo one. I'm not entirely convinced we need a new one yet, but my dad seems certain that the car is still puffing smoke. They are a few more things to fix and replace to see if that stops it, but if they don't work then it's a new engine. A new engine would be cheaper than buying a new car.

Oh come on Katie that amount of snow is nothing for me

Come back when you've got 30 foot drifts :D

30 hours of snow. Bruiser is not happeh.

That's adorkable

I must say when it's not smothered in snow you have a mighty clean car my friend, very nice to look at 👍

I agree 100%. The Mondeo is georgeous, er um, handsome.

The snow is slowly starting to melt now. Usually I like snow but I really want the good weather to get here sooner. I'm craving a photoshoot with Bruiser, hopefully I'll get to do one this year! Maybe we'll finally put the tinted rear lights on too.
