I'm sorry if I offended your hero, the majority of my posts comes with running an online championship for 3 seasons. And yes after all that's happened with the game lately I've lost all respect for this man and his franchize.

So you lost all respect for him because of one bug? Ferrari made the Mondial, but they're not a terrible company right? See my point..

I have no heroes but the fact is that due to that man I have spent many happy hours playing GT3 and GT4... and he also inspired the makers of Forza to start their own racing games... GT5 was also a big let down in my book... but I beleave that the PS3 hardware capabilities and Sonys marketing plans have also something to do with that.

In that I have to agree with you, but I fear he is no longer in control of the company he founded. PD is a huge interest for Playstation and as such Sony has probably moved in and are calling the shots now...

If you think he is such a clown why not do better (like the guys at Turn 10 did) instead of insulting him on a forum that was made because of him?

You never know, it won't be for a console if I ever get involved on it...

Not just one bug, but the fact that so many obvious issues get ignored like the cars sounds, the disconnect issues, the pitstop issues, so on and so on.

Hardcore simulations games like rFactor just do not sell well on consoles.

Gran Turismo has to keep it simple so many people of various tastes can enjoy the game without getting frustrated.

Agreed, nut there's still a market for it. But yeah, probably system limitations is what prevents it from happening...

There's always a market for something. But sometimes the population size does not warrant a new product.

Besides, if PD took a long time making GT5 with specs that stayed the same for the life of the PS3, imagine the time it will take when the pc environment keeps upgrading to the newer and newer stuff.

Yeah there's no comparison when it comes to hardware limitations but it is possible to make a decent sim out of GT5, the foundation is already there it would be great if it was a bit more open so we could change some things...

Because what you are buying is a pre-sale of the whole game with the privilege of a beta and a free 12 moth online sub when the full title is released.

You have to pay a yearly fee to access its online? Are you kidding me? Yeah, i'll be giving rFactor 2 a pass then. rFactor 1 barely resembled a racing simulation and rFactor 2 already looks very outdated on the graphics side.

How is that? Graphics seem very sharp to me. Offcourse if you are into overdone graphics with impossibly green vegetation and impecably perfect and sterile surroundings you could say that, but guess what the real world is not perfect and those "imperfect" details are what makes it look more realistic.

Insulting a person for insulting another makes more sense than insulting someone without a reason.

I will make this very, very clear - any insulting of another member on this forum will earn you infractions. Don't like someone? That's fine. Don't like their opinions? That's fine too. If they've said something offensive, report them, mirroring them by handing out insults will just double the infractions handed out.

Since this thread has so quickly devolved into mud-slinging (and discussing a different game entirely, which we have an area for), and we have no idea of anything involving Kaz and Rfactor 2, I'm closing this.
